How does the Biden Family investigation play out?

It looks like Hunter will be targeted for tax fraud, at the very least, because it will be necessary to show that this is a serious investigation and there is to much from that laptop that is public, already.
No way in hell will they show any evidence that Joe was involved in pay for play, but how do they wrap it up without implicating Joe?

remember the Biden admin pulled top lawyers from his cabinet; and they have teams set up to TARGET to control the narrative.
a Jim Jordan committee could show Biden on video bragging about how he threatened the good guy in Ukraine to stop investigating Hunter. Or he would cut USA aid/funding off.

I don't think the Dems want Joe to run in 2024 and this would be a good way to get him out. He can resign without admitting guilt, "for the good of the country". The Republicans claim victory, the Dems fake outrage, and the investigation is closed so that we "don't put the nation through a long impeachment trial" while we have a war in Ukraine, high inflation, and an energy crisis to deal with.
Kamala can pardon Joe, so the investigation comes to a screeching halt and we will never see the true scope of corruption in DC.

Nothing will happen. Garland will kill any prosecution of Hunter. There will be a lot of barking from the GOP, but they won’t do anything because they don’t have the balls to do it. The Dems probably have enough dirt on the GOP House members to take down a few of them.

They need to focus on the corruption angle. Whether Hunter paid his taxes or diddle a pre-teen child in Thailand is small potatoes.
The question is, do you think the Republicans will put a group of folks on the committee who are NOT compromised, themselves? I don't think its possible, unless Kevin McCarthy is clean, which is highly unlikely.
So I think they will make a deal where Hunter will go down (and possibly Joe resigns over the optics of everything and before any details come out), and the Dems avoid having Biden as their nominee in 2024. Pardons for Hunter and Joe, and the investigation stops.

Nothing, because the Republican Party seems to be infatuated with letting bygones be bygones no matter the felonious, treasonous, nature of those bygones. They are also terrified of the predictable reaction of the DNC and MSM because they're so desperate to be like by the latter.
