A non valor bronze star is nothing more than a glorified ARCOM.
Meritorious Service Medal but yeah, pretty accurate.

Its like when tampon Tim mistakenly stated he was on the battlefield in a war. Sometimes you just forget stuff like that I guess.

My Dad received a Bronze Star in Vietnam.
He's passed now, but a few times when we had drank a few beers..... he shared bits of what he (and tens of thousands of other 18 & 19 yr old American boys) experienced.

Our flag is colored with the blood of those who sacrificed their lives for our freedoms.
And all those our veterans had to kill......which haunted many for the rest of lives.

I saw that effect on my Dad. A hard toll none of us can imagine, all us keyboard warriors....... Wes Moore's lie is unforgivable. He should be hung by his lying neck until dead. IMHO

And he did this for a Bronze Star for service (not valor).

I can see maybe forgetting how many Good Conduct medals you might have

I only have one Good Conduct medal...I guess it's based on the entirety of my service years. My military conduct was much improved from my high school conduct, if I must say so myself.

Arcoms, army achievement, good conduct etc etc I can see as well.

You know if you have a Bronze Star regardless if it was for service or with a V device.

Every E7 and above and every single officer in my entire brigade received a Bronze Service Star after first deployment.

I agree with this but how do you feel about republicans?

Name a couple who compare to this a-hole and Danang Dick Blumenthal from Connecticut.

How could a Republican doing ANYTHING make this guy any less of an a-hole?

A bronze star and an ARCOM are actually the same level. The difference is that a bronze star can be awarded in place of an ARCOM if you are in a combat zone.

MSMs are higher and sit at a higher position on the ribbon rack.

I have the picture of LTG Pagonis pinning mine on in the frame with the medal and citation from 1991 in Saudi.

This is nothing you would have a “woopsie” about.

The Bronze Star is above the MSM on your rack, it is the combat zone equivalent of the MSM and can be awarded for valor as well.

BSM and ARCOM can be awarded with a “V” for valor device. I served with a guy in Germany who was awarded an ARCOM for valor in Vietnam.

Baw, no.

Just because you can get a “V” for a BSM and for an ARCOM does not mean they are even remotely equivalent.

BSM
MSM
ARCOM

No worries brother. We both know it does not change the fact he claimed a Bronze Star for service.

Good grief, these people

That was my one medal. It is the equivalent of “you participated” trophy given to toy league players:
