The Catholics have been duped with the social justice aspect of the democrat party. (I am a Catholic, so I know this). I voted democrat, mostly, until Obama. I could not vote for him (for many reasons not just race)
The Church (who really needs to clean up her act) promotes this diversity crap and helping people out ... but they do not help their own. The Catholic Church itself is not hypocrtical ... its the people the run it. Catholics need to learn to differentiate ... and most wont. The spirituality of the Catholic church is most important, not some nut-job liberal priest/bishop that's just as Communist as Stalin. It's hard to find a good priest, but they're out there.
The Catholic-Democrats I know continue to vote Dem bc they think they will help the poor and/or they've gotten something in return personally. (which is selfish)
I loved Archbishop Hannan in NOLA who refused to give Sen. Landrieu Holy Communion. God Rest his soul.

I’m guessing from the lack of response, Posterboy figured out how unlikely it is that a lifelong, pro-choice, limousine liberal from NYC would nominate the evangelicals choice for SC. There may be hope for him. I doubt it, but he may have a higher than room temperature IQ.

All true. The incorrect interpretation of Vatican II messed with Catholic psyche as the church started to blend too much with new age "good feelings and rainbows," version of spirituality.
Catholics were/are Dems because they are spirituality naive and just want to "do good" and have everyone get along, and any decision justifies that.

Married to one. They absolutely see it. She gets pissed and stomps around, but then eventually falls back in line. They’re just blindly loyal to the DNC.
When Bernie got fricked over (both times), she was pissy and said she’d never vote Democrat again. She still hates the Democratic Party but hates the Republicans even more. But I hate when those old rich establishment cucks give her a reason to hate Republicans.

They see what they want to see. They believe all the barrage of lies about Trump because they want to and that justifies any alleged hypocrisy on their part. It is the same thing with voter suppression. They have made up a myth of voter suppression to morally justify the obvious election fraud they commit every election cycle.
