Social media has made it "look cool" to many. Maybe it's generational but people absolutely celebrate it and some wear it as a badge of honor

Abortion should be attacked from a moral and religious/spiritual angle, not a political and legislative one.

Women do not like the idea of old men in statehouses, many of whom have questionable morals and ethics themselves, telling them what to do with their bodies. That includes millions of women who would never have abortions themselves.

True. But there was a time most Americans, women included, recognized that this decision doesn’t just include themselves. There is another human life in the equation who doesn’t get to have a say-so in the matter.

There’s a very simple way a woman can ensure she doesn’t get pregnant. But that would require taking personal responsibility. Abortion is the opposite of personal responsibility. Instead it is murdering your own unborn child for the purely narcissistic reason of not having to accept the consequences of your personal choices.

If men could get pregnant, abortion would be an app.

I am anti abortion, but I also think that if done early enough (say, prior to heartbeat which happens in the first month or so), then I am MORE okay with it (though still opposed). There are definitely people that do not need to be having and raising children IMO. But my biggest issue with abortion is that it is always presented as a "woman's choice" sort of thing.

The father has zero say in it, and that's not right. Sure, it's not his physical body, but it certainly was half on him to create that baby. And if the baby were to be born, he'd certainly be on the hook financially for at least 18 years for the baby. So if you want to make the man responsible for all of that once the baby is born, he damn fricking sure should get a say in whether or not the baby is aborted. Yet that never seems to come up in the discussions around abortion.

Sounds like something a bearded “woman” would have on a protest sign

People, especially women, don’t want to be held accountable for their actions. People, especially women, are very susceptible to propaganda.

Those are the main two reasons

The best way not to have an abortion is avoiding pregnancy.

Why are the anti-abortion people so against age appropriate sex education in schools? Why are they against birth control campaigns, and even birth control itself? Why is abstinence the only answer?

Reproducing is the third most natural thing animals do, behind breathing and eating. The anti-abortion people truly believe that a book about a magical guy is reason enough to suppress this instinct.

TL/DR: Fewer unwanted pregnancies, fewer abortions.

I’m personally against it, but each individual state should make the decision regarding legality.

Its called a false flag. Using one issue to hide ALL of the other many issues that are the real cause of defeat.
" We must allow abortion on demand just like the democrats". Its a great strategy by the opposition to destroy the party. It certainly cannot be the exploding deficits or debt with no opposition, also cannot be the endless wars that need congressional approval, and hey, now we proudly mutilate children en mass and call that the "new" civil right! Again, where are the Rhinos??? These are just a few of the many examples of the failure of the Republican party.
Personally, I've already switched from Rep. to Ind. after acknowledging that they all work for the same masters, hint: its not the citizens anymore.
A pox on both if their houses!

In 2015-16 there was a social media campaign called #ShoutYourAbortion..

Musicians and celebrities would go in front of huge crowds and say things like "I got my first abortion right here in Seattle!" And get a huge ovations.

Then you get idiots like the AT&T girl:

Agree. Once you’ve held a penis in your hand it’s hard not to get gay married.

Not trying to make this a political thread. But how has abortion or maintaining the right to an abortion become so popular? I mean the majority of women want abortion as an option. It’s not even close. I can’t imagine anyone that’s held a newborn baby in their arms could think abortion was okay. Almost like gay marriage, it’s an issue that seems settled.

Im so passed this issue. If my enemy wants to abort their babies go for it.

I wont vote against them committing their own private genocide.

Yeah but it’s not the same as having a vag job or plastic surgery.

It ends a human life.

My wife and I would never have an abortion. We do not feel entitled to make that decision for anyone else.
