It’s pathological.

I believe blue states don’t just misreport, they don’t convict and throw out cases. That will lower crime rates and skew the reality of crime in those cities. Do you believe that isn’t happening?

Do you believe it's still happening? That's the more pertinent question you just danced around.

Crime is at about a 30 year low in most big cities. I'm sorry that you're afraid of everything.
Maybe you missed the headlines that even the liberal rags are posting. The FBI and city govts are under reporting crime data. I dont need DATA to tell me about crime in my area, I can see it with my own eyes
Also, a 30 year low is a joke. Wanna know what crime was like in the 80s and 90s? Not exactly tolerable
quote:
From the 1960s to the 1980s and 1990s, crime rates rose in all wealthy Western countries
quote:
The crime decline in the the 1990s is also frequently attributed to increased imprisonment, changes in the drug culture, the aging of the population, tougher gun control laws, the strong economy and increases in the number of police.
quote:
In 2020, the average U.S. city experienced a surge in its homicide rate of almost 30%—the fastest spike ever recorded in the country.
quote:
By 2020, almost every law enforcement agency was included in the FBI's database.” But the new system, which went into effect in 2021, is missing a lot of data. In 2022, 32% of police departments stopped reporting crime data, and another 24% of departments only reported crime data for some months during the year. This results in the omitted data not being counted, leading to an artificially lower crime rate
You wanna convince me that crime has dropped? Tell us it has hit 1950s levels. 5 murders per 100,000. In 2022 N.O. had 266 murders out of 400K people. That 67 murders per 100,000

Do you live in a really high crime area?

Yeah but it's objectively better now.

You do realize you're basing this off of "data" that you just said you didn't trust now.

I plainly stated my belief in the first sentence, are you retarded? Now answer the question, do you believe it’s not happening?

A simple question has you triggered. Sad.

I think you have an obvious observation confused with me being triggered. It's obvious that your perception is warped. It is for all of us. You see what you look for. And it is obvious to me and most people that you're just not very intelligent.

D C home rule act of 1973 was a huge mistake . Our nations capital should be the safest and cleanest place on the planet . Letting it go to local officials has been a huge error . You ought to be able to walk the streets of our nations capital at any time of the day or night and be safe . And the streets ought to be so clean that you could eat off the streets.
And what party is in charge of DC. ? Democrats , of course. Just another Detroit , Chicago , Los Angeles, New Orleans , Philadelphia …

You would rather see crime run rampant, and complain about someone doing something about it to stop it? Sounds like you want crime to have a chance to continue. The only ones complaining about what Trump is doing, are the ones that want criminals to have a right to do what they are doing.

I think the states and localities should be left to handle their affairs. I also think it's fair game to deny federal funding to these areas if they can't get their shite together. And judges and DAs should be held more accountable by their local population for not doing so. If their local population is that inept the threat of removing federal funding should absolutely be used as a tool to get them in line and make their communities a better place. What troubles me about the Trump administration is why were none of these tools used during the 2020 riots?

If 800 DC guardsmen can "take over" DC I would be impressed. These are DC guardsmen they are using right? Since they live in and around DC isn't this just a very aggressive neighborhood watch program?

I actually think that helped guide this. In those riots, the media, as they did with the crime reporting in DC, lied. Mostly peaceful protest?
Trump wasn’t fricking around this time around. Look for it to happen in other big cities if Dems can’t take care of crime in their cities.
