It will be a nothing burger. All has been leaked about Comey and Trump. If Trump goes down so does Obama. As Dershowitz has made clear, Trump did nothing illegal. It is bad politically but it is all already out there... Regarding Obama it is illegal to use the IC to do oppo research but does anybody think he will be held accountable?

He's already said he fired Comey over the Russia investigation in public and that by firing Comey, the pressure was relieved on him with regard to Russia to the Russian foreign minister and ambassador.
If he made those statements suggesting obstruction in such precarious situations, do you think he might not have said such things and worse to his own advisors? Mueller's got subpoena power. He's going to probably find out what Sessions, Bannon, Kushner know. Maybe Pence. Perhaps the President himself.

Here is a written question submitted to and answered by Sessions in conjunction with his confirmation hearing WHICH frickING COUNTS AS TESTIMONY where he was asked the question and said no.
Leahy: Several of the president-elect's nominees or senior advisers have Russian ties. Have you been in contact with anyone connected to any part of the Russian government about the 2016 election, either before or after Election Day?

Franken's questions pertained to those written answers that Sessions had already provided.
So yes, Sessions DID get asked whether he had met with the Russians about the 2016 election and he answered no, and then of course fools like you try to claim he lied b/c he didn't mention meetings as a US Senator that had nothing to do with the 2016 election.

just a clarification for you, no one has to prove intent in a court of law. It is next to impossible to impossible to prosecute a sitting president. There is no forum to prove intent outside an impeachment trial. I have repeatedly stated that trump is not going to be impeached (based on what I know), so there is no forum.

It's also strange that he claims he met with Russians in a capacity of the Armed Services Committee, yet not a single other member of the committee ever met with them.
He's recused himself and is now under investigation by Mueller. So, no, it's nothing like Comey answering the question he was asked.

Does the FBI and the IC really have hard evidence for Admin/Russian collusion?

There is a fair bit of hype about his testimony this week. Not only on CNN, but other news outlets plus it is all over social media.
Do you think it will be impactful?
Expectation is that Comey will say Trump demanded a personal pledge of loyalty, told him to drop the investigation, and obstructed justice. They have gone so far as to discount Comey's previous testimony denying all that by parsing those previous comments as pertinent only to the DOJ.
If Comey does any of that, he will be wholly discredited. But he's asked for public testimony, which intimates revenge of some sort. He has to understand Rosenstein's letter is devastating for him. So I really don't know what to expect.
