How accurate is Oliver Stone’s “Untold History of the United States”?

I know he is a leftist, and it is obvious he has sympathy for the Soviet Union in the series, but are any of the claims outright false? Lots of chilling stuff presented if factual.
He seems to hammer democrats and republicans (really just the US government in general) somewhat equally, although he likely was too hard on Eisenhower and too soft on Kennedy.

Eh, basically my only point with that statement was how he emphasized personality flaws with others (namely Truman, LBJ, and Nixon) but for the most part left Kennedy alone in that regard.

Look to his history to judge how accurate this might be.

Stone is a lib. I watched an interview with him once and he blamed the entire Vietnam war on Nixon.

He seems to make mostly counterfactual assertions, like if Wallace had been President instead of Truman, we would not had have had the Cold War and other proxy wars. And perhaps this might have been initially true, but in my opinion appeasement to the Soviets could have led to a World War as much as the Truman Doctrine to a tense Cold War.

It is nice to hear a different perspective from the generally accepted truth, and there are kernels of truth to what is said.
But frick that commie and his bullshite.

Well in this particular series he certainly was not kind to Nixon but puts most of the blame for Vietnam on LBJ, alluding to things might have been different had Kennedy not been assassinated.
The one he shits on the most in the series (although I have not made it to the Reagan years and beyond yet) is Truman. Makes him out to be a complete asshat who shares most of the blame for deteriorating relations with the USSR post WWII and accelerating the Cold War.

Right
And therein lies the premise of this thread. The series makes a lot of claims that most people familiar with history generally know about, but it is presented as concrete fact while in general not presenting hostilities of the Soviets that might have brought about such reactions, or painting them in a more sympathetic light.
I am intelligent enough to weed through the propaganda of it, just wondering if anything claimed is outright false.

I watched quite a bit of this and it's so full of shite it stinks
Every fricking word of it is written from the propagandist perspective of whover America's enemy was.
Oliver Stone is a pos

Seems like the entire point of JFK was to deflect blame away from a communist

Oliver Stone, like most liberals, has a deep rooted hatred of America and anything he puts out will be either blatantly false or just pure left wing propaganda.
His material is good to watch if you are the type of person who likes losing brain cells and being lied to.

There are literally thousands of professors and political scientists that know a brazillion times more than a 2nd rate Hollywood film maker.

Please. Oswold killed Kennedy. Every single "suspicious" claim about that has been debunked. JFK is the most twisted and untrue historical movie of all time.

Oliver Stone is an Israelite.

Hell, we were dragged into WWI and WWII because of false flags too.
Uhhh... Pearl Harbor was a false flag?

But that is probably common knowledge these days.
I don't think it is.

We definitely wanted to be in that war. We already had people in China fighting the Japanese.

I watched as much as I could stand. He told so many lies about the conservative base I was disgusted.
