It would be difficult to argue the world is not a better place, now that the robber has been removed from it. But legally that does not completely absolve the citizen/shooter.

use your weapon in self defense(,) chances are extremely high you have to hire a lawyer.
When you shoot a prone, unconscious, disarmed subject in the back of the head, you are no longer exercising your right of self-defense, John Wick.

What an infringement of our 2nd Amendment rights.
The Second Amendment guarantees the right to own a personal weapon. It does not, however, guarantee a “right“ to execute a helpless victim with that weapon. HTH

Did this guy do that? The video looks fairly conclusive, but making that determination is why we have juries. .

That last shot was the only questionable one. It was likely an AD with the gun in a bad hold. He is guilty of desecrating a corpse at worst.
that last sentence obviously includes just the tiniest bit of sarcasm, but your larger point is well taken. If that final shot was not a cause of death (medical evidence), the trial becomes a different ball game.

Snarky response from the equivalent of a Limousine Liberal.

You Trust-Fund Babies/Rich Kids don't have the disadvantage of understanding what it's like to live in places where your life is constantly in danger.

Thanks to Daddy's money, you are able to sit in your safe space and make lofty suggestions affecting the lives of real people without fear of any real world repercussions.

For those of us who live in the real world and UNDERSTAND that the Justice System has been RAPED and ROTTED by the lofty Liberal Ideals you want to impose on others, we UNDERSTAND that extraordinary measures must be taken to fix what YOU have broken.

If a few pieces of shite who should have died long ago during the commission of their crimes get wasted along the way in a manner that is slightly Extrajudicial, no loss.

Why should WE respect the Law when Lawyers like you see it as nothing more than a cash cow and a way to virtue-signal to others while sniffing your own farts?

You have no disagreement from me on that point, Mr. Hotdogs.

I was merely clarifying that the Harris County DA is a woman.

However, for the record, I am not a biologist.

That pharmacist in Oklahoma got life in prison for killing one of his robbers.

I have pointed to this case in multiple threads and the idiots on this board can't see the similarities.

The last shot to head is what is going have the Taqueria bro in the defense chair at the very least.

Does he end up with a life bid like the OK pharmacist? I doubt it.

In other Texas shooting news, the dumpster defenders from Abiline, go trial on Monday.

What “perceived rights“ are you talking about here? I’m not seeing anyone in this thread make any mention whatsoever of any theoretical “rights“ of the deceased thief.

Lots of people, on the other hand, are discussing whether the shooter committed a crime by putting a bullet in the back of the head of an incapacitated individual.

Do you grasp the difference between those two concepts? Candidly, I rather doubt it.

Incapacitated or dead?

And stuff your bullshite retort of "it doesn't matter".

You made an affirmative statement that in essence proclaims the POS was still alive and the final shot was the coup de grace.

Do you know whether this man was dead or merely incapacitated?
