"Wealthy Chinese can buy “golden visa” citizenship from Portugal’s government in as little as 35 days. If House bill H.R. 565 is approved by the Senate and becomes law, then the new Chinese citizens of Portugal will be able to move into the U.S. by getting E-1 Treaty Trader or E-2 Treaty Investor renewable visas."

I'm not neccesarily against this. As long as the proper background checks are done and the person can add value to our society, why not allow them in?
I'd much rather wealthy people from other countries get a pathway to US citizenship than people sneaking across the southern border or winning a random lotto.

I have some Chinese neighbors. They start restaurants, get them successful and then sell them. No easy task.
They give their kids names like David and Michelle. They do their best to assimilate into our culture.
My family has helped their kids learn to read English.
Anything we do for them, they pay us back with favors 3x over.
I don't mind having more folks like them here.

If you’re going to bring valuable capital or skills to America, leave the old country behind, and become American I have no issue with you coming legally in limited numbers. I have issues with Muslims, illegals, and poor uneducated Central Americans and Mexicans who want us to press 2 for English, commit felonies, and burden the welfare state. I have issues with mass immigration that distorts the domestic labor market. I have issues with mass immigration that overwhelms native society.

If they are so valuable why do they have to resort to this sktchy bullshite?
Why of course if you are Chinese and want to immigrate to the US you should go straight to Portugal. That just makes perfect sense.

I don't know how many people don't know or have forgotten that thousands of wealthy Chinese have come to America and given birth to their children in these birthing centers/hotels. This birthright/anchor baby scam needs to end ASAP. If one parent isn't a US citizen neither is the child.
