Called it last night:

quote:

He is going to get the left condemning any such thing and then reveal Hillary and Biden and others doing that exact thing. Do people really think Trump doesn’t think of how to play these things out before he says them?

Mark Warner, the same guy caught texting a Lobbyist for Steele and Deripaska...wanting to meet with Steele in London. Oh, he also didn't want a paper trail of the meeting.

THAT Warner??

Hook me up with a link for that. TIA

There's some boo-hooing going on on social media over Blackburn blocking Warner's bill today.

Axios Piece

quote:

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) blocked an effort by Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) to pass a bill via unanimous consent requiring campaigns to report any offers of foreign assistance to the FBI. "We are all for free and fair and honest elections. ... These reporting requirements are overbroad. Presidential campaigns would have to worry about disclosure at a variety of levels. So many different levels. Consider this: vendors that work for a campaign, people that are supplying some kind of voter service to a campaign. ... It would apply to door knockers, it would apply to phone bankers, down to any person who shares their views with a candidate.

quote:

Sen. Chuck Schumer, responding to Blackburn's objection, said on the Senate floor: "How disgraceful it is that our Republican friends cower before this president when they know that the things he does severely damage democracy."

It is ok however if you pay for it as in the Steele (British) Dossier (Russian). Particularly if it is all BS as that turned out to be.

GOP should offer amendment to: 1) make it a felony to in any way assist (by act or omission) an illegal alien in casting a vote in any federal election; and, 2) make any conviction for illegal voting require immediate deportation without any appeal.

It doesn't matter. We've also a law to kick illegals out of our country. Democrats choose not to follow it.

Just like they...and our intelligence community will only choose to enforce a foreign opp research ban ...on conservatives. When Democrats obtain bs foreign opp research, they will be given a free pass.

Not only that you don’t accept it, but you report it to the FBI.

So what exactly are you supposed to report to the FBI if you have no fricking clue what they are offering? Is the Bureau supposed to devote thousands of man hours to calls from congressmen every time they are approached? Gtfo with that shite. Also, it says nothing about what you should do if you’re the one seeking out dirt. Don’t be fooled by the slight of hand.

I think you’re wrong on this. They’re doing it so foreigners can’t give Trump anything from 2016 to use against the dems. This is CYA legislation.

Why would it apply retroactively?

Member when the prog filth was so excited about NY changing their laws on double jeopardy thinking the change could be applied retroactively to circumvent any Trump pardons?
