I barely drink. Maybe once or twice a month. I did, however, shoot a frick ton this morning while high as a kite.

Remember last night when you kept coming back just to get beat down like the mental midget you are?

Comparing Puerto Rico to Louisiana is absurd but I'm not sure how lumping Puerto Rico with Venezuela or Mexico lends itself to an "honest discussion."

Why? I’m not being snarky. What makes Louisiana better than PR?

Shovel for what? I'm just having an "honest discussion " about what I saw in & of Mexico & its nothing like most folks on this board perceive it, or what I saw isn't. Hell, most of yall think the majority of border jumpers are Mexican when in fact they're Honduran, Nicaraguan, & El Salvadoran. My point is Mexico is nothing like Central America, Venezuela, or Haiti and not much different than a lot of this country.

Well, it didn't require tax haven status to artificially prop up an economy, for one.

We have electricity and plumbing, dunno that’s a start.

45% in poverty in PR.

Are you trying to be snarky or are you just that dumb/ignorant, hope it’s the former.

Any ideas as to why that’s the case?

Each of those countries are messed up for different reasons. Mexico has a ton of potential but the cartels compromise any group that tries to take them on. The country is too accustomed to being shaken down by all the local governments and police.

If Mexico legalized the production of drugs, America legalized drugs, stopped sending guns over, and then used the military to wipe out the cartels (not sure if that's even possible) then you'd be looking at a major economic expansion in northern Mexico.

Monterrey would become a world-class city with amazing outdoors and only a 5 hour drive from San Antonio, 6 from Austin, and 7 from Houston.

Guns,germs, and steel.

But that doesn't account for human behavior towards one another unless you're going to conclude these people are too low IQ to govern peacefully.

Beautiful beaches and many of them limitless natural resources. Mexico in particular has ever advantage over the US and can’t function.
