I mean, he's a political operative who ran a candidate against him (and it failed).
I'm just not seeing it

Dude, Romney and other establishment types were all about it so that one of their guys could run in 2020.
Trump was sabotaged by his own party at every turn. Your characterization is simply not what happened.
That was not an insurgency campaign. That was the GOP sabotaging trump

Rick is taking it to insane levels beyond just a "political operative who ran a candidate against him". He hates Trump so much that he's willing to cause destabilizing chaos of any sort just to get rid of him even if its over accusations that have flimsy and terrible evidence.
And the sad thing is, he and Trump likely agree on a lot of issues in what they would like to see done these next four years in office but he can't get past that.
Rick is still stuck in campaign mode and he honestly should be persona non grata to the GOP from here on out.

Yep.
And it still hasn't stopped and case in point with McCain, Graham and Rubio pushing back on Trump and helping democrats push the Russia story.
I actually wouldn't have minded Romney as SecState but I can see why Trump and his inner circle couldn't trust him enough to give him the job.

So is there an actual ex British Intel officer or was the troll posing as such?
I'm amazed so many people believe this

Am I understanding this correct? This document made it to a Presidential intel briefing and was created by trolls on a forum to goat never trumpers?

Desperate people will believe anything.

Really. The 4chan angle sounds far more believable than the actual story. Especially when you consider that the story is being picked apart and shown to be a complete fabrication.
Do you actually believe Trump went to Russia to throw a piss party with hookers? If so I think it's pretty obvious who is desperate.
