We all know Trump is probably the best marketer or brander ever to become President, but having establishment Republicans challenge him is exactly why he won in 2016. People, especially in the last ten years or so, having been craving a president who is a true outsider. Trump would easily portray this like he did in 2016 - that he is under attack from the establishment of both parties because he’s a true change agent.

They won’t run, it would look very bad on them, and Trump has 97% approval amongst Repubs, he’s got this wrapped up....

Trump has nothing to worry about with a primary challenger that's running to his left, even with that lane being plentiful with jokes like Hogan, Weld or Kasich. A liberal republican is never going to beat Trump.

The only thing that could give Trump real pause is a primary challenger running from his right that attacks him for not delivering on immigration like overhauling the immigration system and finishing the wall but there's no credible name out there that's willing to do that.

Yeah, he's only going to campaign in four states this time instead of five. What a dumbass.

Yea. Anything to get him to actually do what he promised would be nice.

I agree with you in theory but historically having a primary challenger isnt the best thing
