We're closer to herd immunity than people think. We're currently at 0.89

The number (or percentage) of people that have been exposed to the virus and have not been tested is likely quite high. People now naturally immune. The number of people a person would have come in contact with over the course of a year even with the largely ineffective protective measures.

A number that if known would never be properly reported as control would disintegrate.

We are averaging 50,000 new cases per day and 0.89 is still too close to 1 for us to see a dramatic reduction in new cases. We need an R closer to 0.5 or less to see a dramatic reduction in new cases that would justify us saying that we are achieving herd immunity. We are still a few months away from achieving herd immunity. I would be highly surprised if we achieve herd immunity before Labor day at the earliest, but we are a lot sooner than most of the world. Thank you President Trump for going all in on developing multiple vaccines with Operation Warp Speed instead of pussyfooting around like Europe did.

Sure, if we just follow the WHO's shifting goalposts and GET A VACCINE!!! But in God's holy name never, ever, ever, ever, ever let anyone, including the young and healthy, get exposed to a disease has a 99.99999% survival rate.

It's almost like it's a virus.

How are hospitalizations and deaths doing? We still have no vents available and bodies piling up?

You have to go to a dropdown menu to pull up the infection rate

Should say "metric" in the upper left hand of the chart

You can change it to see things like vaccination numbers and the like and include different countries

You misspelled Dr. Foul Chi.

Nope, no linkage to China, Chinese, none to be seen here. Move along, move along.

How many of those are people that would be alive and reasonably healthy if not for COVID?

Just wait until COVID-21 is released. It has upgrades to improve glitches in the previous release.
