Warmongers. Sick fricks.

I’d suggest not framing your entire worldview, meaning any and all (every) situations and issues that pop up, through the lens of your disgust with all things Trump. You clearly approach every topic with the primary intention of negative criticism and quite often insult of Trump and all Trump supporters, by extension. Your worldview will open up nicely if you can manage to fight the ever present Trump urge. Just an observation. And you aren’t alone, there are others similarly situated, even in this same thread.
Absolutely nailed it

We should nuke Somalia while we’re at it.
And top it all off with Iran.
That should calm all those frickers down…

How and why are you alleging “warmongers” when you’re replying to a post that is insultingly dismissive of the actions in that all it boils down to is “a snooze fest” and merely “dropping a few bombs on some goat herders”?? Is it “a snooze fest,” or is it “warmongering?” Make sense of that for us - it’s your assertion.

Are we planning on carpet bombing Yemen until there isn't any one able to launch a rocket or pilot a drone?

I wish they could and would, but alas I figure it’s probably a bit more to completely “destroying” the Houthis altogether than we on this side of things might think. It’s quite a bit more complicated than that notion. After all, the foundation of support for the Houthis to operate as they do is, yep, Iran. So theoretically, in order to “destroy” the Houthis altogether, you must destroy Iran. Where does that leave us? Not completely sure, but I do know it’s a good idea to keep all that in mind when thinking about this whole thing.

Amnesty International is calling the US attack on Yemen a Genocide
Posted on 3/16/25 at 9:38 pm to northshorebamaman
Oh yeah that will show them.
These people religiously thrive on wars. They welcome airstrikes and wars.
Now they can start targeting military bases in the ME.

Imagine doing a victory lap over bombing some insignificant goat herders

That is the only way to stop an insurgent force using asymmetrical warfare in a country that is so far down the development scale you can't really make their life that much worse with sanctions, etc.
The moral question on doing that is the thing that doesn't settle well...

Was it dumb four years ago?

If America paid as much attention and money(our tax dollars)to solving our own problems instead of trying to control what happens elsewhere, we would be in a position to help others. This administration has crippled and weakened our foreign standing.
This is the inevitable result of simpletons who grasp onto one thought (MIC! MIC! MIC!) without any ability to follow the logical extension of their arguments. Not every use of military power is a foolish entanglement of our wealth and people. Their are many justified areas and reasons for American military power to be brought to bear. We are the primary economic powerhouse on the world stage and that status depends on the open navigation of the world's trade routes. You want to see your quality of life and financial well-being implode? Let these shite hole countries and terrorist organizations close down maritime trade.
For all the MIC! MIC! spouting NPC's on here, let me remind you that raising and maintaining a military is one of the few things the federal government is constitutionally authorized to actually do. I get the feeling that a lot of the opposition to military spending on this board is really America Last types couching their hatred of the USA in some kind of populist wrapping.

You can do better.
Did your handler tell you to kick it up a notch or something?

While I'm not opposed to bombing assholes, they're primarily driving up the costs of essential goods for Europe and Asia. I'd prefer to see the European and Asian militaries doing the lion's share of the bombing.

How many foreign wars are we in now? Losing track of all the countries we're fighting
Posted on 3/16/25 at 9:53 pm to DisplacedBuckeye
Really? How many are we presently fighting? Doesn't seem that many. Are you trying to imply vaporizing some ragheads the other day in a one-off strike is some kind of quagmire commitment?

They will shrink away back into the cracks and crickets will be heard when proof begins to show up.
