@chiproytx accuses social conservative groups of "cowering in the corner" over the spending bill:

"All you social conservative groups out there...where the hell are you? Crickets. Silence, because you care about political power more than the very thing you say you're for."

A source tells me leaders of a number of these groups were MIA on the spending bill fight because they were on the Speaker’s balcony having drinks instead of fighting the bloated omnibus.

We have a ways to go...

Where did I reference Trump?

And MAGA is only popular enough to have about 8 of them. That's why they have no power. Nothing to do with Trump. Everything to do with being unpopular nationally.

Look at trumps votes in states vs down ballot. Trump is more supported.

What?

It's simple. If MAGA was really popular, they would have more than about 8 seats in the House and maybe 1 Senator.

Their representation of the GOP side is like 2%.

Since we are a democratic republic and we use elections to decide our reps, MAGA's popularity is largely reflected in the races they win.

Just be glad he hasn't found a way to blame DeSantis.

I'll be watching to see how my Representative votes. Will be writing him if he votes in the affirmative.

They have got to stop this spending and especially when it goes against "conservative values," whatever that means in DC today.

This. Should have 3 solid senators from the mid terms. Won 0. Historically poor performance in the house means there are only 8 in the house. THe only way thye have any power is by aligning with the democrats--which is how they got their only "accomplishment" this term.

Republicans may not hold the House until the end of the term.

Gotta win some races. Any races at this point.
