Anyone paying 2000 a month for insurance, without some really serious preexisting condition, is a complete fool. Self insure or negotiate cash with the doctor. I’ve done it..you’d be surprised how much they love cash over insurance hassles.

Had a 3500 ER bill for getting looked at and patted on the arse. Billing lady told me “Son, 80% of people that come in here don’t pay anything, so you pay more”.

Healthcare industry is out of control.
We get screwed by pharma paying more than anyone else for the same damn drugs despite being biggest market.
Physicians, nurses etc are overpaid.
Many physicians are merely gatekeepers. Could be largely replaced by IBM Watson or similar.
Then, there's the useless administrators.
Tons of crap all around to cut.

Imagine, in your career, if the government pretty much required its citizens to buy your product/service. Do you think it would get more or less expensive over time?
