They will paint him as a racist by simply aligning with Trump!

But that would be a complete dud as a VP pick.

I'm sure you can back this up with logic and reasoning.

If Ron chose him, would it be a dud pick?

While a definite upgrade over Nikki, Im not really a fan of this either.

But this is Trump’s problem. Hes too toxic (rightly or wrongly) for capable people to hitch their wagon to. I dont see a path for him to put together an effective administration.

I don’t hate it, but its a mistake to celebrate this like it would be a home run.

I like Carson but he is a bit odd and lacking personality I’m not sure he brings many votes to the table. It won’t help much with black voters, they’ll just see him as an Uncle Tom.

Trump needs to get suburban women back. They’re the group that cost him in 2020. Running a solid female VP could help here (not Haley)

What does Ben bring to the table? Is he going to swing a state in play?

Im sure its a play towards the AA vote, but don't think he's the one to pull it.

At this point it isn’t about “bringing voters to the table.”

I’d say it is about having someone willing to be loyal to him while also being a person unlikely to be campaigning hard for the job in 2024.

Haley et all would be stabbing Trump in the back the second he got elected in order to secure their spot next time around.

Carson is a very good man who is more likely to do things to support change than to play politics and attempt to frick Trump. And serves as good impeachment or assassination insurance because he isn’t beholden to a lot of groups either:

I'm down with Ben Carson, as well.

it would be sweet if Carson were VP and Trump/Carson ticket won. Keyes is the guy that Obama beat for senate in Illinois. It would be a redemption of sorts for Mr. Keyes. RIP.

He could make a good contrast with Harris's drugged-up giggling.

Keyes was parachuted into Illinois to fill the spot after Jack Ryan’s divorce papers got unsealed, which was dirty business right there.

Mike Ditka was approached about the nom but passed. He could have won simply due to popularity given the Bears’ success.

I would prefer an absolute rabid animal who would go HAM nonstop on the enemies of the people.

But Ben is okay too.

The MSM is about to discover that Ben Carson was only a Medical Trash Collector in the operating room when all those delicate surgeries were performed.
He will probably be sued for spreading a false narrative.

Listen. I am a big admirer of Ben Carson. I’ve read multiple of his books and think he would be a great pick and might actually vote for the ticket in spite of Trump because I think that much of Carson.

With that said does this need to be the reaction?

Why do we need to let the lefts reaction control our decision making?

Ever since 2016 melting by the dems (which I admit was fun) the right has let our decisions be made largely by “oh this will make them melt!”

It’s led to people like Lauren boebert being in congress

The amount of racial slurs that Democrats would begin to spew if this happened would be incalculable.

They could finally show who they really are and have been all along

Allen Keyes was such a great articulate debater, the Republican Party refused to let him debate. He made Dole appear similar to Biden.
I remember the first time I saw Keyes in a public forum. He was a defender of Clarence Thomas. He was rather plump guy and I expected an exhibition of Ebonics. Man was I mistaken. He was brilliant in his presentation.

Carson doesn’t move the needle at all.

Not a splash - won’t deliver a state - would be a terrible pick.

He needs someone like a mark Cuban or the rock - someone that will bring big energy to the ticket
