I’ve noticed some talk in this topic about how Trump could or couldn’t veto the housing bill! Imho, the fault, if I can call it a fault lays in the lap of Speaker Johnson! From what I remember, Trump had said he would sign no other piece of legislation until the Save America Act was on his desk! Johnson should not have put the housing bill on Trumps desk to sign! Once it reached Trumps desk, it became law in 10 days, with or “without” Trumps signature!

Didn’t Massie have a perfect score? So the guy that votes the way most of us want every time loses reelection. Help me understand

So in other words, this Liberty Score metric means exactly nothing.

My contention is that it means nothing even apart from that.

Because it can't be the sure sign of a RINO when you want it to show that, but also disregarded as irrelevant when we're talking about someone MAGA hates.

What does it all mean? They’ve made financing for developers much easier IF and only if they agree to include section 8 and affordable housing vouchers part of the deal.

This is what Obama wanted, Biden started and now Trump codified and allowed to become mainstream.

Well why would Trump and the GOP do that you might ask? Well it’s going to cause a building boom as developers rush to push through deals they couldn’t have gotten financing for previously.

You have to respect the cynical nature of the deal: the democrats are using the greed of the GOP builder donors to convince them to cut their own throats by moving crime and blue voters to otherwise red and swing districts.
