Yes, one of the baristas at Starbucks. Wears pants, female blouse, long hair and make-up. Has female name on top with pronouns like 'she, her' next to name. But the deep voice is the big male giveaway.

Yeah. I only saw a handful or them in person for probably the first 30 years of my life, and only knew one, personally.
That really started changing around 10 years ago. I see them daily now (in small town AZ), and probably know a dozen people who identify as 'trans', but they're assuredly over-represented in my industry (restaurants).
Most are younger folks, on the awkward side, who seem to use the trans identity as a way to preemptively 'other' themselves from their peers 'voluntarily' to avoid facing the embarrassment of being a regular arse awkward kid. I do not believe the vast majority are truly trans,
Had a great up and coming 21 year old cook, eat a bullet last Easter, two weeks after starting hormone treatments. I have no way of knowing but strongly believe he'd still be with us if other avenues were explored before estrogen.

Several unfortunately!!
One is my wife’s cousin that is one fugly “chick”
Another one in Austin at a bar, come to think about it, I think everybody in Asstin is a tranny
Last but not least, I was at a trendy coffee place here in Puerto Rico in the Santurce area and this dude sits down after ordering his coffee and proudly takes out his transitioning meds right there in the middle of the coffee shop!! lol! It was so comical!
Dude was fugly as well, all 6’4 of him!!

One worked for our company in the Houston office. It was a 6’ 4”, probably 240 pound dude wearing a dress and makeup. It was a very good Chemical Engineer. People dealt with it like they would anyone else, although there was a lot a snickering about “big women needing good loving too”.

pubic, like behind a counter or something similar.
And it’s awkward 100/100 times to see a 6 foot dude with long hair blue hair that weights 275 with a hook through his nose and titties.

I wish you’d start acting like a regular person and not use a plural pronoun to refer to a single person.

When your moment of clarity hits as an addict you can get better and look 100 times healthier.
When your moment of clarity hits as a fricking freak show, you can’t undo that.

One. He was an engineer with Projects and Engineering at my last job. He was a nice enough dude, but still thought he was a woman.
Of course there are a bunch that hang out in downtown SLC these days. I have seen only one since moving to Iowa City.

1st cousin who grew up next door to me, like a sister.
First she was a lesbian, but then her lesbian partner decided she wanted a dude or something. I don't know, I can't try to comprehend the mental illness. Sadly, the state gave em an already troubled little boy who knows his mom didn't want him. Sad situation. The family "deadnaming" her is also "causing confusion" for their "son."
She drank the poison, changed her name, now has a beard. Supposed to be getting her arm flesh fashioned into a phallus soon. I told her mom, prepare for suicide. That's what comes next.

There was a dude who worked at Shlitz & Giggles downtown for years. I would say he was pretty convincing at pulling off the girl look but the only times I went there was when I needed some greasy pizza and non-alcoholic drinks after tossing a few back a few too many at Happy's.

I'm literally sitting right next to one at the break table right now.

I see them almost every day, usually at a sales counter. It's always obvious. A woman they will never be.

I met a big retired military helicopter pilot that was flying for an air medical service in Fayetteville, Ar about 20 years ago. Not the sort of person you would want to mess with. From a distance he looked like a man with a bad haircut.
Almost all air medal service pilots are ex military, because it’s the only place they can get enough hours to fly

I worked with one. When he was on leave for his surgery our company made it clear that when she came back to work, we would be fired or suspended if anyone disrespected he/she.
I also have a relative with a trans daughter. That kid was weird from the time he was a toddler. Always in trouble when he was a teenager. He has threatened family members. classmates and neighbors and been in trouble with law enforcement multiple times but always seems to get out of any type of punishment.

you had to go back 29 years for you're example, but they're "not rare".

Yes, many. Also have many gay friends. Only one of them voted for Kumswalla. Go figure.
