One good thing about electoral democracy is that we, as a nation, can just make a change in leadership just to try it out. No one has to be perfect. that is also why the system is supposed to spread power out and not have it concentrated in a single person.
The most damaging and dangerous thing that republicans have done during the Trump experiment is concentrate ultimate power in an individual person, and declare that person immune from ever having any consequences or limitations. That is a moon-bat loony right wing development. Right wingers won't like it when a leftist is elected.
Or should I say, a leftist who is immune from consequences and has the entire power of the federal government at their disposal to play with (like Trump).
Trump's run is almost over. There will be a change of leadership. And that's ok.

i’m not a “Trump is bad bro” but I have criticized the Iran War and some other aspects of his second term. I’m capable of seeing the good and bad in Trump. Securing the border was existential and his trade policy, albeit nixed by the SC, should be the default Republican platform moving forward.
With that being said, his political momentum is dead. The midterms will be a blue wave and Vance will be weighed down by this administration, unfortunately. Right now, DeSantis makes the most sense to me. His track record in FL is unparalleled and he’s standing up to Big Tech recently, which I think will be a big factor in 2028.
