re: Have the PT faithful failed to understand the significance of a Harris/Walz ticket?

That's quite a plot. Have you considered that they might just be really stupid?

I don't believe for one second Harris/ Walz leaves the Democratic Convention as the ones on their ticket.
This pick solidifies the assertion I have had since they canned the Biden actor.

Absolute fricking truth.

More projection from the left. If you visit this person’s home I recommend sitting in a chair and not on the couch.

Im not even sure one 4-year termmof Trump can do much to stem the tide.
Better than not having 1 more term… but I dont have much hope beyond a temporary reprieve his election would provide.

Trump wins. Bigly.
Even more now against Tim Jong Walz.

As of now, it appears that 108 people think you are the idiot in this conversation, and only 8 think you're not the idiot. Perhaps you should rethink your entire existence

Let's see what happens before we all queue up in mass defenestration, shall we?

Come on.
Let's try it this way.
Who would you have tapped if you were King of the Democratic Party? Who would have been better? I don't just mean more intelligent, but who also had a better chance to win than Biden?
Then ask yourself this: Would they have been likely to accept?
If you apply those questions honestly you might be surprised to find out that you end up in the same place the party did.

You seem to be mostly citing Republicans not pushing back on social progressivism. I would argue that that is the only thing Republicans have pushed back on, from what Ron DeSantis has done in Florida to (mostly due to Republican state governors and legislators) the deliberate engineering of the overturning of Roe v Wade.
I'm not saying the pushback is complete by any means or that they have been 100% effective where they have pushed back or even that they are winning. But that's the only area I do see pushback in.
Financial, not so much.
But I've asked this before when populists justify abandoning conservatism because Republicans didn't advance enough conservative ideas: If what you want to see is more conservatism than you're seeing, how does it help to completely abandon the principles?
That's like getting angry that you dropped your cellphone and scratched the screen, so you also stomp on it and then kick it. It's an irrational, emotional response that is virtually guaranteed to get you less of what you wanted in the first place.

And the DNC had the added pressure of the VP being a straight-up DEI hire. It's sorta tough to fire those when you're the world champions of intersectionality bullshite.
But nobody has a crystal ball, especially in politics, so you just make what you think is the best choice.
- If she wins, great, they've got a retarded puppet to manipulate for 4 years.
- If she loses big then they were probably looking at a loss no matter what. By running her they've kept their bench fresh and they toss her to the curb with no justification or apologies needed.
- If she barely loses they'll probably regret not having run Newsome, assuming he would have agreed.
Two decent outcomes, one bad. It makes sense.
