Have any of you Baws had the Antibody Test?

I scheduled one today at BRGMC. The big day is Tuesday. So I guess I’ll know my fate by Thursday. I wish i would have done this so my reveal day was my day, but that’s ok.
I’m convinced I had the Rona in January. I felt like I had a bad cold. But there was no snot involved. I took NyQuil for a week and stayed in bed. I would wake up in the middle of the nite coughing like my life depended on it but it wasn’t painful. And again. No snot. I can’t take my own temperature but i felt like I had a fever.
I posted this on the PoliBoard bc stupid or not, somehow the common cold has become political. I’m also wanting to do it bc dammit, I’m a good citizen, and I’m ready to go on about my business. I don’t want to infect old people. But I haven’t seen my parents since early March and this is ridiculous. So if I know I’m still at risk to get it, I know it won’t kill me- but I certainly don’t want to pass it along to my 80 yr old neighbors.
If I had it- is it accurate that I’m basically done for the year and I won’t infect anyone? If I didn’t have it. I feel a mask is a fair trade off. I neither want to catch or pass it. I’m assuming all you Baws are same.
If we have a freaking antibody test -
Why do we need a law shutting us down? Like gun laws- The only ppl a stupid law would need to deter, are ppl who won’t follow it anyway.
Anyway - who else is getting the test? And if so- why are you doing it?

You realize this is the way the government is going to track you right?

Yeah, OP was completely untethered to the sophisticated data gathering dragnet until a finger prick test

Not trying to be mean here, but why in the world can’t you take your own temperature?

Haven't you heard?
According to the experts there is a 93% chance that the antibodies test will produce a false positive 39% of the time and a false negative -39% of the time. Bottom line is we can't trust the current antibodies tests and must remain on lockdown until Donald Blumpf personally builds and delivers a test with 100% accuracy and can provide results within 24 seconds.
Why do you want people to die?

We can start a gofundme for you, if you'd like.
Could likely have the $5.00 necessary to get a quick read under tongue digital or the $40 necessary to get a forehead digital one for you within a week or so.

The thermometer isn’t the point!!!
Has anyone had the antibody test? AND if I had the Rona - is it accurate that I’m basically done for the year and I won’t infect anyone?

My friend got hers. She said she was sick for a week after St Patrick's day. She tested positive for the antibodies.

But it's the most interesting part.

No. I'd like to get one. Not sure you can even get there her. I'm like you. Felt like crap for a few days back in January, but not Flu bad, just bad bad. My wife told me I didn't have the flu and to quit being a baby.

I think that the jury's still out on that one. I've heard it both ways. You can't get it again... and you can get it again.

Yes, I took it. Blood test

Well. If I have the freaking antibodies-Dr. Birx can have them. It’s time for this shite to be over, and the sooner we can all know what we’re dealing with, the better.
Although. I’m not buying a thermometer. No point now

That's still up for debate last I heard... like pretty much everything else CV19 related...
But I think the general consensus is that once you got it and recovered from it, you're good... Until it mutates. But the flu mutates every year too.
Were you sick before, and that's why you want the A/B test? Pretty sure my wife had it back in February before our first confirmed case here in Oklahoma. It's still proving difficult to find a way to get an antibody test here though, so we won't know apparently for a while.

quote:Infecting someone having had the virus in January is unlikely. That is not what having an antibody test is for. You might have had a common cold which might have been a coronavirus.
