I was convinced some sanity remained in that party until the convention in 2016. It blew my mind at how insane they had become.
The "justice Democrats" who are marxists, have taken over the party

Liberals who watch ALL of their current candidates tack HARD left and think that this isn't a reflection of the Dem electorate are insane
I may not like their candidates but they aren't a bunch of incompetents with no idea of how to study their primary voters. And, they all have seasoned pros working on their campaigns.
But yeah. They're a'll just being "fooled by Twitter"

made evident by our slew of board liberals who fail to denounce these policies but would rather obfuscate and lie

They’ll emerge much closer to the convention, I would think.
You can't spout radical shite like taking down all border walls and elimination of oil production then walk it back a few months later

They are silent but not actionless. They just bite their tongue and vote for the least awful candidate.
Most are humiliated and feel powerless.
Radicalism has poisoned debate and silenced reasonable voices.

I’ll add climate change and open borders for $100

Maybe that's a portion of the party but certainly not the majority. What VOR and co. are saying is that 20 fricking campaigns have completely missed the mark on the pulse of their party. That's ridiculous.

I don’t know where this notion of him being some honorable moderate came from
Didn't say honorable anywhere in my post and compared to the rest of the crowd, he probably is a moderate. Not saying he won't lean left if he thinks he could get the most votes but if elected, his agenda would certainly be less leftist / socialist than most of the crowded field.

We have about 5 fricking parties in America - not 2. We should just use the French model and have two rounds of elections so that the entire country is represented.
We have a party that has neoconservatives and socialists in it - which is comical in my opinion.

And they friggin KNOW they're lying
If every Repub candidate in 2015 was competing to sound like Rand Paul or MORE libertarian, the Democrats would suddenly discover that in fact, campaigns DO know their primary voters

I would take Biden in a flash over the rest of the field. Stooge or not, he wouldn't push half the crap Bernie would push.

He would just slowly inch us there
But therein lies the problem - Trump winning has expedited their march to state control. They know they can’t count on demographics just yet. They aren’t looking for some slow 90s Clinton slog to socialism, they’re looking for it NOW

You forgot "free" health care and reparations.

Yes. we unveiled it in 2008.
In exchange, Republicans went crazy.
This time, we're not compromising with Republicans.

So no moderates this time, just going full blown socialist.
Good luck with that strategy

The only difference between old (moderate, but not really) and new (socialist) democrats is the amount of time it takes for the government to control most aspects of your life and the majority of your money.
