That's only because less people know Ron now. Wait till the national public get a load of that guy...he's gonna' brutalize people in debates, and can't WAIT for him to get a hold of national reporters.

I've got a notion most of those coming on pushing Trump's unelectability are directly tied to the GOP.

There’s no way DeSantis is only over Kamala by a single point.

He hypothetically beats a sitting POTUS with historically low approval ratings, completely ignoring the torrent of lies and slander that will be rained down as soon as he announces AND Trump's increasingly antagonistic and defensive persona.

IF Trump were starting with a blank-ish slate and stuck more to the relatively more positive messaging of his first campaign, he could be elected again. By any objective measure, though, he has become more confrontational than inspirational in the last 2 years, and the internet never forgets.

Move. On.

I agree with this. Trump got elected because he was fun and it was fun being on his team. The second election was a lot more grim.

That being said, I think you underestimate the "miss me yet" campaign he's running. And like it or not, short of a Desantis miracle, Trump is your candidate for 2024.

In a magical world where Ron had half the name recognition of Trump, he'd be up by similar numbers if not more.

But it doesn't matter, none of these will hold. Trump by 11 is Trump by 3-4 down the stretch. Which is great, but getting excited about margins 2 years out is useless and won't tell us anything other than Biden/Kamala are hilariously unpopular.

I mean, Trump is old and could have health problems. That’s certainly on the board. None of my grandfathers made it to Trump’s current age.

Youve got to remember people have ben brainwashed that Desantis is killing people with his covid stuff.

I know a girl from orlando that said she wouldnt be going back to FL anytime soon because the governor is crazy and letting covid run rampant.

The complete reversal on prevailing COVID attitudes tell you they already are. Their hope is that they'll take their licks in 2022 and fortunes will change. And there is a good possibility of that happening, to some extent.

Media/pollsters trying to put doubt in R voters about DeSantis winning in the general election. (they know he will not lose unless he does something really stupid between now and the election).

Don't believe it.

Then the entire discussion would be moot. Gonna be hard for Dems to make that attack, though, either way.

The only real problem I see for Trump right now is his lack of visibility

Which is orchestrated of course. For you JJ, and others, you'll think no big deal because I'm guessing you're hunting him down on every forum/outlet. But I do think it matters for a solid swath of his potential voter pool. I haven't seen Trump say a word in months, and I rarely see written posts/messages.

But perhaps absence makes the heart grow fonder. Could go that way too.
