This could be the shot in the arm first-time home buyers need. I am curious how they will pay for it but hopefully, both sides can work this out.
Not really
This would just drive up home prices. They'd pay a lot more than $25K in interest to they are anywhere close to owning a home outright.

Where does she plan on getting the money

This is a joke, but that is EXACTLY this woman’s mentality.

The funding isn't what makes this a bad idea
What it would do to already astronomically high housing prices is what makes it a bad idea

BTW a reminder...
This would apply to more people than literal first time homebuyers
Hell it would apply to me but I still think it's a terrible idea.

Actually, BOTH of these things make it a bad idea.

Something like this was already in Biden's re-election platform, IIRC.

This is how you know she’s behind in the internals.

Sure...but the latter being the more ridiculous of the 2.
Funding such a program would be a rounding error in the budget

Oh, and before I forget:
"And then, just like that, for no particular reason, the price of houses went up $25k all over the country."

This will help with housing prices.
This is idiocracy.

Classic Democrat playbook. Offer all kind of free shite. Who gives a frick who has to pay the bill.
Posted on 8/15/24 at 6:03 pm to HailHailtoMichigan!
Bribery. Real nice. By the way, how does she think 25k for everyone will affect inflation? Aren't home prices already too high?
I guess one might also want to know where is the money coming from? Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Higher value of house also means higher insurance and real estate taxes. Try up 35,000.00.

It’s the fricking student loan debacle redux.
What happened to the price of a college education once the government got involved in student loans?
What eventually HAPPENED when people couldn’t pay back those loans?
This has the potential to be THAT on steroids.

Can I get 25k after the fact? I had to buy a home during a shite housing market under her administration
