But does it bother you that this date is actually a pagan holiday in celebration of false gods.

No. Not at all.
1 Corinthians 8:4–6 (NASB95): Therefore concerning the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that there is no such thing as an idol in the world, and that there is no God but one.
5 For even if there are so-called gods whether in heaven or on earth, as indeed there are many gods and many lords,
6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him.

The whole reason the church chose this date to begin with???

That’s not true. Who’s report will you believe?

Happy Birthday Jesus indeed!!

Really is sad there are people amongst us that get all worked up over the date and what was celebrated around the same time. Really isn't the big "gotcha" these people get all worked up over. God bless you all, hope your hearts find joy one day.

Which just so happens to be a pagan holiday

Not for me.

Tell me, do you also have a Christmas tree up in your home?

I do. It’s beautiful. I don’t look at it and think, man… that pagan tree reminds of the pagan gods. I look at it and think of the birth of our Lord and Savior- Jesus Christ- who was nailed to a tree, and rose again- in glory.
Is it ok for Christians to have Christmas trees?
I think this applies here:

Romans 14:4–8 (NASB95): 4 Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
5 ?One person regards one day above another, another regards every day alike. Each person must be fully convinced in his own mind.
6 He who observes the day, observes it for the Lord, and he who eats, does so for the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who eats not, for the Lord he does not eat, and gives thanks to God.
7 For not one of us lives for himself, and not one dies for himself;
8 for if we live, we live for the Lord, or if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.

Amen and Merry Christmas!
quote:

O holy night! the stars are brightly shining;
It is the night of the dear Savior’s birth.

Long lay the world in sin and error pining,
Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth.

A thrill of hope-
the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks-
a new and glorious morn!

Fall on your knees!
O hear the angel voices!
O night divine,
O night when Christ was born!
O night,
O holy night,
O night divine!

The exact date is of no importance

I have to disagree. It was the pagan solstice celebration date, done for a reason. You might say it’s harmless but by the same token, it gives cults credibility they don’t deserve when they use that as a tool to fraudulently show enlightenment.

We walk a very thin line as Christians knowingly using December 25th to celebrate when others can easily point out it isn’t randomly picking a day and can tie things together with a fair amount of ease.

I know I will get some downvotes but the truth on subjects like this makes folks uncomfortable.

If you question Jesus's existence, remember there are over 300 prophecies referencing the coming of Jesus in the Old Testament verified to be written hundreds, some almost a thousand, years before His birth.

did you ever think long enough to think it was used on a previous pagan date to ERADICATE that dates previous meaning?

Micah 5:2 says the Savior will be born in Bethlehem.

Jeremiah 31:15 says babies will be massacred where the Savior is born.

Hosea 11:1 states that Jesus will have to spend time in Egypt before returning to Israel.

Just a few of the more obvious ones... there are many, many more that only fit through the lens of Jesus's life.

Christian war on other cultures continues and is live and well today.

They really should just learn to live and let others live instead of being such culture warrior snowflakes...

Is Christmas Pagan?
I like Mike Winger. I think he does his due diligence in faithfully researching any given topic he speaks on. If you’re a Christian, I think you’ll find this video helpful. He covers the claims of Christianity being a copycat of various legends, the claims that Christmas is a pagan holiday, Christmas trees being pagan, and so on. He even goes through the history of Santa, mentioning the legend of the OG St. Nick traveling to the council of Nicaea to punch Arius in his man-pleaser.

Not monetary or possessions but salvation, joy and peace.

I bow down to our Lord, Jesus Christ.
