This. Many people are dead, jobless, and their 401ks have dropped significantly because of how the president downplayed the corona virus. Spin it however you want, but 6.6 million unemployment cases can't be denied. Also, there is no doubt in my mind that the president ignored his top intelligence advisers. He chose the economy over health. As a result, he screwed health and the economy.

I was discussing on this same forum, for people no to travel, due to my expectation of coming lockdowns. On the very weekend of Mardi Gras

How dumb are you?

If he shut down ant earlier, then we are in a decade long recession at this point.

There never was an option to save both. Ever

there were 7 NBA games on mardi gras day

1 being BOS @ POR... and the virus had already been confirmed in Washington state (just north of the Trail Blazers home state of Oregon)

(Pelicans were at the Lakers that night)

so... 7 games at guesstimating 15K per... so ~105K were possibly exposed at NBA arenas that day

I usually take up for Hannity, but that's dumb.

Nobody really knew what to expect in Feb.

Hell, we still don't

Trash fest certainly led to our numbers but to their defense, nobody knew at that point.

A Depression is going to kill a lot more people than the virus will. The economy is important.

First US death from COVID 19 in US was not until 2/26 , Ash Wednesday. The first suspicion of community spread came on 2/27. You would have asked New Orleans to commit economic suicide at the time on a guess.

Right now we have the benefit of hindsight. That's like looking in the toilet bowl after binging on too much Taco Bell after a night of hard drinking and saying, why didn't someone stop me?

Maybe she thought since it was Made in China it would break down in a day or two once it reached America.

At some point, idiots like Hannity will learn to quit trying to play "gotcha" games with people who are immoral and unaccountable. Not to mention these people have full support of the media and the LCD.

This is pointless. They are blameless, and they will do it again and again.

Actually, I'm the one who played the "gotcha" game, and played it to perfection..Go back and read this thread. Several people are STILL BLAMING TRUMP, yet they bristle at the notion that Cantrell or JBE didn't do enough.

Guys, you can't have your cake and eat it, too. Hell, Trump may have saved 2 million lives by implementing the travel ban alone.

Nobody knew this was going to be what it is.It is hard to understand how people now can posture with a shrug and say, “Who knew?” as if the dots even then were not already lining up for this post-Mardi Gras Covid explosion in NOLA. Crowds, highly contagious disease, rapid spread...instant hot spot likely outcome. No surprise.

You are so FOS your eyes are brown. He took early action to shut down travel from China which outraged the loony left. And then did what any good leader would do, tried to curtail panic. The entire world and particularly open societies with tons of travel in ad out of country are deluged. Our problems with obesity make it even worse.

DJT and the WH have done all any leader could have possible done. Our big issues now are big cities with people stacked on top of each other and plenty of money and modes of transport to travel out of their hell holes.

You are both right and wrong. Wrong, no one new. Right, people have picked their side and no amount of data proving them wrong will make a difference.

We had no idea it was already here and that travel ban was really stop the flood move instead of the preventive measure we thought it was.

If it wasn't for the travel ban, we would look like Spain right now. You realize we have roughly 3 million more Chinese visitors a year than Spain right?

Really? Singapore did that and only had 5 deaths. Look what they announced just this morning. For a 2nd time
