Those hostages are already dead. Been dead awhile for most of them. Probably some left but they won't be alive long if there are, which I doubt.

The prisoners that have been released said they were treated well. The footage shows them being friendly to their captors, and in one case thanking one.

This was somewhat inconvenient, so the Israelis have since claimed the prisoners were drugged.

To what I’ve seen, and I haven’t followed this story closely, the hostages who’ve died so far in Gaza were killed by Israeli bombs.

It seems unlikely that Hamas would kill their hostages. They took them as bargaining chips and to humiliate Israel. Murders have happened in the past though, I’m thinking specifically of the PLO and the 70s and 80s.

Probably

Long term the Israeli plan is to slowly annex the remaining territories as their own population grows, leaving behind little clusters, or cantons, of Palestinian settlement. The Israelis will control the borders of these settlements and restrict movement in and out, and movement to other cantons. If they deem it necessary, some of these will be walled in. These will be prisons.

Sounds like a great plan

It’s baffling to me that anyone is sticking up for Hamas, as they are exhibiting this hostile behavior

There are certainly pro Hamas people out there, but it’s largely a reaction to Israel’s behavior.

They’ve killed 15,000 people, the vast majority of them civilians, wounded 50,000, and engaged in an indiscriminate bombing campaign in Gaza designed to punish the Palestinian and discourage further resistance. That’s why they’re leveling blocks and destroying basic infrastructure. And then there are the typical Israel attempts to humiliate the Palestinians, that’s why those men were paraded around in their underwear.

The Israelis are not a civilized people, what they’ve done is a moral horror.

When Hamas is hiding behind their own “civilians” inside “blocks” and “basic infrastructure”, we can put the resulting deaths and injuries on Hamas, not the people defending themselves. If Israel wanted to wipe out Gaza and everyone there, they could have easily done so. Why are they holding back? Parading in underwear is off limits, but rapes and murder by Hamas isn’t too far for you?

What, in your mind, is the appropriate response to October 7?

bullshite.

You know how I know?

Because those people were pro-Hamas before any of that stuff happened. Immediately following the October 7 attack I was seeing those same people saying, "This is what decolonization looks like" and calling for a cease fire.

So no. NONE of this is because of Israel's behavior.

I’m a Christian and I have real sympathy for the Christian’s in Israel and Palestine. The Israelis treatment of Christians is deplorable.

I would rather be executed than traded for multiple terrorist prisoners. But they don’t tell the prisoners what the deal is.

As reported by the same folks who took the hostages in the first place, raped and murdered girls, decapitated babies, etc?

You call forcing men to walk around in their underwear deplorable. What are your thoughts on the hamas attack in October? Surely as a Christian, you have an opinion on that.

This is Israel’s version of an all out attack, with some considerations made for PR purposes.

I think the Israelis are lying about a number of their claims. With that said, what someone else does doesn’t suddenly permit you to behave like an animal. In the case of the underwear parade, it’s ultimately just stupid. Because it will motivate these men to join the militias and fight. The Israelis maybe clever, but they’re routinely not smart. They create their own problems.

Israel should have never agreed to the cease fire in the first place
