From some of the interviews I've seen, Hamas has some loose canons.
But I have no doubt some hostages were killed in airstrikes, I assumed that would happen.
I have nothing against the Palestinian people who do want peace, and get overruled. Hopefully they get better leadership going forward.

So, you have a bunch of surrendered and captured fighters who are known for making IEDs and explosive vests and may be concealing other weapons. What, exactly would you do to make them less potentially lethal? Giving an order from a distance to strip down seems pretty reasonable. Option 2 would seem to be to machine gun them in place and search the remains later. Option 3 is to risk the lives of your troops.

Hopefully they are put on ships and sent to what used to be libya. They can't do much damage from there.
