Would LSU allow protests for drag story hour?
If so, then ok.
But progs aren't known for living up to the standards they place on others.

Banning thoughts is the most authoritarian activity possible

But you can ban a terrorist or kick out someone screaming "Death to America" That's a threat. You can say what you want, but can also suffer the consequences of what you say.

True. I just went by there (I’m doing a job nearby). There are about 30. They are exactly what you would expect. Skinny, nerdy, loser white guys, and fat, ugly females (I guess- I’m not a biologist), just laying around with face diapers on and using their homemade signs for shade. Very unimpressive.

Surprisingly normal, as far as I could tell.

you think islam is like any other so called religion? you actually think we would not be better off without the two? wow. yes a death cult created by a war mongering pedo is great right?
you sound just like a islama commie. you are why this nation is going to shite.

There is a reasonable position that both disagrees with Israel's tactics and does not embrace Hamas.
Very few people occupy this space though.
The vast majority of these pro-Palestine supporters aren't saying they simply disagree with Israel's "tactics". In the numerous videos I've seen, they aggressively harass Jews walking the streets, and demonstrate a reluctance or outright refusal to condemn October 7th.
If that's not embracing Hamas, then it's surely sympathizing with them, which is a problem.

That’s largely due to the fact that they are not thinking, much like most of the posters in this thread.
Folks have been conditioned to view the world as tribal. Whatever my team says or does is always justified. They don’t know how to evaluate policies or ideas on their own merit.

Right. I have never seen anything anywhere suggesting that employment at a public university prohibits someone from exercising their rights on the public university's campus.
In fact, I would imagine that such a policy would violate the First Amendment rather clearly.
Now do J6.

I absolutely think that and the left things conservative thought is a threat and harmful. Stop acting like leftist authoritarians.
ETA: Hell, the left is doing this to Trump and MAGA right now. They are trying to outlaw Trump, and his brand of politics, right now with their lawfare.

quote:Nah, they are just run of the mill commies. Hell, I bet you would find the odd Jew or two among the protesters. You can bet that was the case at Columbia. The news media is just hiding it.
Are they Nazis who are attempting to eradicate Jews?

You can refuse terrorists entry into our country, "death to America" is not a threat under the law, and if you have to rely on banning speech you've already lost the culture war as banning shite like that only allows it to go underground and fester.

What is the blurred line? Public employees have a right to protest and political activity. They can even set up political protests as long as it's not done on work time. You don't lose your political, and constitutional, rights because of employment.
Political activity is limited-
Louisisana Civil Service Rule 14.1
(e) No employee in the classified service and no member of the Commission shall
Participate or engage in political activity.
Be a candidate for nomination or election to public office, except to seek election as the Classified State employee serving on the State Civil Service Commission.
Be a member of any national, state, or local committee of a political party or faction.
Take active part in the management of the affairs of a political party, faction, candidate, or any political campaign, except to exercise his right as a citizen to express his opinion privately, to serve as a commissioner or official watcher at the polls, and to cast his vote as he desires.
Take active part in an effort to recall from office an elected public official, or seek, solicit or attempt to coerce any person including any employee in the classified service and any member of the Commission into participating in any such effort or signing a recall petition except that nothing contained herein shall prevent an employee in the classified service or member of the Commission from signing a recall petition.
