We aren't talking about AOC, she is not running for president, and fwiw I am not a huge fan of hers either. Here is a comprehensive explanation of what Sanders wants to do regarding the green new deal. Let me know if you see anything about making air travel illegal, because I don't. LINK

i have many important places to travel to on a daily basis. it would not be advantageous to walk or bike because of the distance i need to travel. i try to set an example by choosing the most economical means of travel and by what type of transportation is available to meet the demand. i'm not at all concerned about the thousands of tons of pollutants that are pumped into the atmosphere because of a couple of ten thousand miles i may travel in the span of a year. i need to have the freedom to tour whenever i feel it's necessary and don't have to ask permission to do so. i don't care what some liberal tree hugging environmentalist wacko nut case homo thinks of it. my feelings for the environmental impact or quality of earth's atmospheric condition has no bearing on my decision in any of these choices. the pollution from one volcanic eruption out ways any man made environmental disaster i might make in my lifetime. i won't let anyone put my family or myself at a disadvantage to freely travel privately on occasion like everyone else.
i could care less about how anyone feels about my carbon footprint. actually hope it would cause someone to melt over it.
