Like I said. Some people are okay with dead Americans because they like alcohol, tobacco, sugar, and metal death traps that go 500% faster than man was designed to go.

But hey, let's ignore what kills over 1,000,000 people combined each year and focus on 36,000 (2/3 of which are suicides) because we care about peoples lives and want to stop useless deaths.

Explain this BamaAlt. It's why you ran away from this thread in the first place. Man up

Do you believe I can own a nuclear weapon?

What about weaponized anthrax, can I store that in my fridge?

What about VX nerve gas, can I keep a canister handy in my shed?

Explain this

A gun in the house is vastly more likely to be used on the homeowner or one of their family members than in home defense.

That's what I meant by that. You're welcome.

that's a claim that you are going to need a source for and a quantification on what "vastly more likely" means in numbers

That's not what you typed.

Totally different.

You can't run away from your ignorance.

Pathetic!

Why don't you care about the innocent people whom die via alcohol/tobacco/sugar related deaths?

Why don't you care when an innocent child dies because some a-hole decided to go 100mph in a half ton chunk of metal?

Why are the hundreds of thousands of innocent lives taken early due to these toxic and poisonous substances?

Shouldn't you want to save these lives?

Why do 16,000 lives matter so much to you, yet the hundreds of thousands killed each year mean nothing?

You can't keep up the "think of the children" lies when you don't care if they die from eating their weight in sugar. Or if they die in a car accident. Or if they die from second hand smoke

Not at all different. I'm sorry, but whatever gotcha you think you have is falling flat.

Don't worry, you'll try again soon! Get up off the mat!

No. She doesn't like to talk about purchasing, licensing, and registering vehicles anymore, either.

Explain the uses of each for discriminant self defense.

Thanks.

Why the hell do you want to restrict my personal freedom to own a nuclear weapon...?

Not necessary, since we weren't explicitly talking about personal freedom in the concept of self-defense.

You're welcome.

You are the worst kind of person to have a discussion with. Guy asks you for a link and you use LMGTFY? What is this, 2012?

Worst of all is I didn't even see the U.K. buyback program listed on the Google results.

i think you made a mistake

i did google, before you posted. there is no UK buyback program

even the wiki article you linked did not have anything about a UK buyback program

Australia had one for sure

it looks like the UK just banned most guns (which Australia did as well). if you ban guns, it's not voluntary

which countries had a national gun buyback program without higher regulation on arms in circulation? i don't think one
example exists

Why do you only care for 16,000 deaths a year? Why don't you care about the deaths by alcohol/tobacco/sugar/vehicles?

None of those are protected. All of those cause multiple times over the amount of death each year.

Your whole argument is based off of sensationalism and thinking of the children. If you want to save lives so badly, why aren't you pushing for the criminilization of tobacco/alcohol/sugar? Why aren't you calling for the limitations on the speed of travel? You do know that we can decrease the amount of deaths caused via vehicles and crashes exponentally if we made it impossible to travel over the speed of 25mph.

You want to ban high capacity magazines? Why not ban high speed transmissions?

He didn't like my first link, which contained details of the UK buyback program. At that point, he's just being lazy.
