frick it, I say let's take this shite back to circa 1850... I want to see how NYC fares in the fricking dark for a few nights... I want to see some of those fat asses use the stairs to go up 18 to 20 floors... I want to see how they fare when they turn on the tap and no water comes out...

And kill or grow their own food

What she also fails to realize, is that unless India and China start doing something different, nothing we do or don't do will matter, AT ALL.

She fully realizes this. But her plan isn't about the environment, it's about expanding the government and power.

She does. And that none of the plants can be vouched safe. What's your plan for dealing with nuclear waste? The Russians put theirs into barrels and tossed them into Baltic sea.

You do realize that nuclear waste can be stored in the same mines that uranium was mined from in the first place right?

I was a Navy Nuke Electrician.

The US Navy has a stellar record on Nuclear power plant safety.

Physics says hello. Getting it to orbit with a space elevator is fine and all, but reaching escape velocity is an entirely different matter.

Well the goal of getting it into orbit is to lower the cost of the launches.

There are obvious problems with it

do you even 4th gen reactor bro? They have designs that can process raw fissables, even spent nuclear fuel, back into usable fuel right in the reactor, btw in reactors that dont create millions of gallons of irradiated water and can't melt down just on the basic physics of their design. There is about 700 years worth of our total electricity needs just sitting in the nuclear waste we already have. But we can't develop and implement advances like that because of the same people who say, contrary to the evidence of the history of the Earth, that CO2 is a pollutant that is goinh to kill us all

Wait, you are publicly admitting to owning cows?

Why are cows even necessary when you can buy beef at the grocery store?

They should be, rumor is many prominent Dems like to go around forcing their dicks into cows. Bill Clinton set the standard.

We have a plan in place for Nuclear Waste. It’s called the WIPP Site in southern New Mexico.

Vitrification

Microbes that "breathe" toxic metals and make them insoluble and immobile

just a few examples

next question numb nuts

Luckily this would be a non-binding resolution if passed, not actual mandated law.

What's your plan for producing enough power for a stable grid if you want to eliminate all fossil fuels AND nuclear?

It's a Catch-22. We spent billions to go to the moon to collect rocks, but look at what we got out of the expense. The genesis of computer engineering. I have to believe that if applied the relative amount of funds toward research and development of green energy in the form of sodium reactors, fusion and superconductivity, instead of money-pits like the F-35, DDG-1000, or the pleathora of social programs that do not work but remain only to keep government employees on the teat, we could figure out the engineering problems that would make green feasible.
But, the MIC isn't going to want their gov funded R&D cut and the fossil fuel industry isn't going to want to see their LNG assets evaporate.
We can have our cake and eat it too, but someone is going to get burned putting it into the oven.

Sounds like a good plan...

Let’s put our nuclear waste into barrels and toss them into the Baltic Sea.

When those technologies are profitable (which if they are truly necessary they will become) the innovators and investors (market force) will focus their attention on them and they will be implemented.

Nuclear power does not produce any pollution, nor CO2 emmissions.

It was when I found out that eco-activists were anti Nuke that I realized that "eliminating pollution" is not what they are after. The movement is a power play above all.
