We asked young men to leave their families travel half way round the world, march thru deserts of Africa, mountains of Italy, across farmlands of France, trudge through jungles in pacific islands. We asked them to deal with extreme weather conditions, swarming mosquitoes, malaria. We asked them to kill people and watch their fellow Americans die in horrible grotesque ways. We asked them to do this, and they did, to preserve our way of life and our ability to VOTE. But it’s too much to ask people today to go get a freaking ID and stand in a line without being handed a bottle of water. If you are on this board and are a veteran, you have my sincerest appreciation and respect. I can’t imagine the outrage you must feel at what you sacrificed vs what people have done with what freedoms you protected for them.

The left is soft and irresponsible. The right is (unfortunately) softer, capitulant and too nice to the left.

Started lurking the rant and the OT in about 05. I honestly don’t even remember creating an account in 2012. Was always content just getting my LSU sports updates and some cheap laughs just lurking. Not til here just recently have I been getting worked up enough that I feel I need to express myself. Tiger droppings is about the only place I feel safe to do that. Certainly not Facebook or Twitter

Yeah...this place isn't either Facebook or Twitter. Not just because it obviously leans much further right than any of those, but if you're interested in longer form conversation this is the place. I'd never discuss anything like this on Facebook, which I only keep active to keep in touch with old friends, and Twitter is essentially the stall in a truck stop.
Hope you stick around and participate. FWIW, I had bailed out back in November of 2019 and only tuned back in again last Spring as all hell started breaking lose. Figured that not only would this place have breaking news, but would be the best place to talk about it.

This is so sad to me. America is an bright shining example of the greatest things man kind has to offer. Look, America is not one person. It is a group of peoples. And with any group you are going to have some bad that do bad things. Sometimes these people end up in positions of power and as a nation we do bad things. (Where we are currently)
But look at the greatness in our history compared to any other place or time on Earth. We all won the lottery of life by being born here, regardless of your color. It makes me almost want to cry for my fellow man that so many don’t appreciate the greatness and opportunity we have as a nation
