I was just pointing out an alternative route that I know works for a lot of young people.

I’ve seen it my entire life, so I know it to be fact.

It isn't nonsense... yes, kids have been deluded into thinking they must go into debt chasing higher education degrees- but the trades and entrepreneurship have always been options, they were downplayed not removed.

Ten, heck, five years ago, Tucker was all for encouraging education (it's not like he didn't go to college) and doing laps of joy when real estate was doing great. I saw him do it on the air, we all did.

Now 40 or whatever months later he want to blame others (not himself) for doing exactly what he himself did. Cheerlead for the system.

Talk about a Baptist Bartender..,....

A video shows Fox News host Tucker Carlson saying that he was "basically on board" with the tenets of democratic socialism.

On Sept. 18, 2020, a video clip started to circulate on social media that supposedly showed Fox News' host Tucker Carlson saying that he was "basically on board" with democratic socialism after his guest, political activist Cornel West, described the ideology as providing ordinary people the opportunity to "live lives of decency." One version of the video racked up close to 4 million views within a day of its initial posting:

quote:

Tucker Carlson shocked viewers Wednesday night when he praised 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren’s economic plan, which she called A Plan for Economic Patriotism. After spending nearly four minutes reading an excerpt from Warren’s extensive plan, Carlson described a few of the principles Warren lays out, expressing agreement.

“It’s just pure old-fashioned economics. How to preserve good-paying American jobs. Even more remarkable? Many of Warren’s policy prescriptions make obvious sense,” Carlson said.

I am building building a shower right now...but I cant wait to come back to this tonight and obliterate Stossel's typical boomer "nuh uh" response with actual facts and numbers....like I always do in these threads and cant wait till the board Boomers eventually make it to their final stand retort "just deal with it and quit whining"

No no no, YOU people told them they had to do this to have the same life their parents did. You think kids just deluded themselves? Yes disingenuous deceivers like yourself who must misrepresent what really happened to make yourself look better DO make me angry.

No one with a straight face can yell me there has been a noticeable effort over the last 20 years to tell young men to join trades and not attend college. Not attending college is treated as if its a death sentence and telling young people this will get you chastised by society.

I probably make quite a bit more money than the above average tradesman yet know I am no where near being able to buy a house

Part of it is because the line of work I am in has me in higher cost of living areas but boomers have jacked up housing prices beyond belief and I have no idea how those making closer to the median income can afford to buy one

Trump could easily fix this tomorrow if he truly wanted. However, he is a paragon for the Boomers, old and entitled, whom vision is serfdom either via their young or third world.

To put in perspective Boomers have effectively pulled up the ladder and pushed young people to try radical ideas and people such as Mandami who has the IQ of a soap dish.

1) END OPT and H1B
2) Ban ALL Immigration for 10 years minimum
3) End housing being able to bought up by corporations
4) Recalibrate the Education System to serve the AI frontier

Give young people hope or they will effectively take it via weaponized legislation from people who aren't even American.

Well then you bought hook line and sinker into lies. Congrats.

About 10 years ago I took a side job as an in-school suspension warden. I was chastised by the school leadership for telling a 16 year old freshman that hed be better off dropping out and learning a trade than finishing high school at 20 and going to college. I was almost fired for it

All large and many small apartment buildings are owned by coporations. Any lawyer will tell you that even if you have a small apartment building of, say, five apartments, try to make it owned by a LLC and yourself to limit your personal liability/

I would like to ask Tucker what would he have happen now? We all know he is for an illegal immigrant crackdown, and that is happening and here and there some rentals are falling (not certain if due to immigrants leaving but it could be) but that's about it.

But Tucker says the same as just about everyone else - I want to yell, okay, what do you want to have happen?

Do you want housing prices to go down a lot so young people you are defending can afford them?

You DO realize that "the house" is most middle aged people's retirement money, yes? It's really "their estate". Are you okay with that?
