Cool. Winning a battle, but losing the war. You are doing the equivalent of celebrating a touchdown when down by 55 points.

Gonna be a ton of registered Republicans who haven't bothered to switch who won't vote for Trumpkins for Congress anymore.

Riiiiight . . . "haven't bothered" . . . . . . the classic profile of an early voter

Some takeaways is the demographic turnout. 70% of voters thus far have been white in a district that is 55% white. Thats not a good sign for Dems

The tricky little problem for dems they don't want to talk about is black, hispanics, and young people don't vote in midterms.

Katie Porter looks a lot slimmer in that election tracker photo.

Mimi Walters is a solid conservative republican

Why would a republican not vote for her?

The same reason a mass of Republicans won't vote for Republicans in this election - a check on the insanity of Trump and the Republican Party.

Even some Republicans prefer adults at the table and aren't swayed by racist fear mongering.

The most recent poll in the district has Mimi Walters winning 92% of republican voters

The reason this district is close is because of changing demographics, not republicans defecting

There is literally no evidence in national or state level polls that republicans are going to vote for democrats.

Trump’s approval among republicans is among the highest a president has enjoyed among his own party in a long time. I can’t find the chart unfortunately, but the only president in the 21st century who has higher approval among his party at this point in presidency was W, mainly due to 9/11
