It’s because the republicans in Congress have zero spine and aren’t exerting their constitutional authority to reel him in on his dumber decisions.

Maybe a few nutters but the calculus is not that IMO. I’d be willing to read your source of that information.
The calculus seems to be more of a balancing between Iran and the party turning more socialist every cycle.

There’s no source, it’s just my view.
I don’t see a ton of difference between Trump and democrats as it pertains to “socialism”. Debt exploded under Trump.
I also don’t think screeching AHH COMMUNISM is particularly compelling to most voters under 40
