GOP Senators won't commit to giving Moore a seat on any Senate committee

What a circus this is going to be. How crazy is this that he may not be given a committee assignment?
He's going to need a lot of time for the Ethics Committee

WASHINGTON (CNN) - Republican leaders won't commit to giving Roy Moore a seat on any Senate committee if he wins Tuesday's race for the Alabama seat, a highly unusual move showcasing internal tensions between the controversial candidate and his prospective colleagues.
In an interview with CNN, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell would not say if the GOP conference would welcome him into its weekly policy lunches or give him committee assignments.
That's a good conversation for sometime after tomorrow," McConnell said in the Capitol.
Other top Republicans also punted when asked whether Moore would be named to any committee -- a remarkably unusual move given that most senators tend to serve on four to five panels each.
"None of that has been discussed or decided," said Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn of Texas.
Being denied a committee assignment could significantly undercut Moore's ability to be effective in the Senate.
It would deny him the ability to work on legislation and attend hearings with witnesses about policy matters, alienating him in a body that already has revolted from him in the aftermath of allegations of sexual misconduct, including with minors.
Behind the scenes, GOP senators have been discussing their options on how to handle Moore, and the consensus is to pursue the matter with the Senate Ethics Committee, which could recommend his expulsion to the full Senate.

Nothing will happen.
Nothing.
Moore will burn the fricking Senate down if they try.

You should be happy about this, right? Moore removed but seat not stolen from the people of Alabama.

Well, considering it's DC, I think you need to have verified sexual assault/harassment complaints before being given a committee seat. He just isn't dirty enough, yet. Has to prove himself once he gets there.

I bet you will give him a seat.

They need the votes. They’re going to embrace him well before the midterms.
I’m just giddy for there to be more microphones in front of Roy’s face. And he’ll get to offer his views on the floor of the United States Senate!
I can’t wait to see these Trumpies rationalize his crazy. Not rumor. Not innuendo. Not plausible deniability. His own words for us all to hear.

Is he any different than someone like Sheila Jackson Lee or any of the other barely literate Democrats?

This is why they've revolted against him. They know he's going to be the ultimate embarrassment to them, not even counting the fact he's a child molester.

Toddy is mad he can't be sexually assaulted by judges, senators, congressman, TV/Movie personalities, Muslim Refugees, etc.

I'll ask you again, are you comfortable with guilt being assumed before innocence? How do you think that would go over for most people?

"Barely literate" is generous.

Of course he has to be seated in the Senate. Doesn't mean he can't be expelled though or has to be given a committee assignment.

There are sitting senators sweating their asses off right now, praying their misdeeds aren't uncovered. Roy is going to be fine. He won't be expelled.

He's going to win and people will forget within a few weeks. People who think this will be some everlasting story don't pay attention to the American news cycle

Of course not. But that's not the point here. Everyone, if they're honest knows he's guilty as frick. Hell, half the town of Gadsden has known about him for YEARS.
