re: GOP Senators won't commit to giving Moore a seat on any Senate committeePosted by boosiebadazz on 12/11/17 at 10:43 pm to NIH
I agree the child sex suff will go by the wayside.
But Roy has been nothing if not consistent. He’s embracing MAGA to win the election, but he’s still a religious zealot at his core. Freed from the election and there’s no telling what kind of outlandish shite he could/would say.

Eh, Clay Higgins was predicted to do the same shite, but he has faded into the grey.

I thought Jones was winning by double digits? Why even post a hypothetical?
Oh, and fake news is fake.

It'll be a win-win. The seat remains in Republican hands and the current Republican Senators look like they care.

Behind the scenes, GOP senators have been discussing their options on how to handle Moore, and the consensus is to pursue the matter with the Senate Ethics Committee, which could recommend his expulsion to the full Senate.
I don't think you understand how many Moore voters are hoping that this is exactly what happens.

I've heard him mentioned in the media like once or twice since going into office. He's a nobody. Moore will be tempered when he gets there.
If the senate finds Moore so unsavory I guess they shouldn’t have fricked around on Obamacare repeal
All the swamp things that previously voted for repeal and campaigned on repeal. Moore’s personality may be off putting, but voters are voting for people who they are confident will vote the way they want
Moore is yet another shot across the bow. So if the senate is stupid enough to make a show of things to stick it to voters they’re going to get more Roy Moores sent their way.
The adversarial relationship which politicians and media seem intent on fostering with voters isn’t good for anyone, but it’s worse for them

I see none of the progs in this thread responded to your question.
Moore may be crazy, but i can guarantee you he knows the difference between Mars and the moon....unlike Ms Lee.. who somehow managed to land a seat on the House Committee for Space, Science & Technology.

The message will ultimately be "We can annul the will of the people if we don't like the candidate". That's going to set off a firestorm.

I think it all goes by the way side
He's a senator from Alabama, hell Louisiana has embarrassed itself plenty of times.

progs who can’t shoot won’t be the ones lurking around the softball fields
They wouldn’t dare. They’re making a stink now but they’re going to roll over.
It’s what they do best

Roy Moore was a polarizing figure as a state Supreme Court Justice from Alabama. He is now a United States Senator. How is that larger platform going to lead to him being less controversial? I’m not understanding that logic.

So on election Eve, they've gone from not seating him to no committees?
And then on the eve of his swearing in, will they go from no committees, to just no cloak room privileges?

Ted Kennedy killed a chick
Robert Byrd was in the KKK
The senate isn’t going to make a public display with Moore.

I'm not sure if it has come to that point yet, but it would be another step in that direction

And here you are 30 years later still rejoicing in the moral high ground it gives you.
How is it so outlandish to think Moore will do something...outlandish?

I heard Moore on Serius Patriot ch 126 tonite in last campaign speech in Dothan. He sounded like Trump 2.0
I think that's his crime with media, Democrats and GOPe. He threatened their gravy train so they attack him the same as Trump
We need a patriot like him to win bigly
