Never gonna happen.

Ford has yet to confirm her presence at a Monday hearing that could be pivotal to Kavanaugh’s confirmation.

I think the plan is to get Kavanaugh to testify prior to the lying count, makes it easier for her and Dems to paint the narrative

Senate Republicans say they are willing to allow Christine Blasey Ford, the woman accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of a decades-old sexual assault charge, to testify in a closed session without the presence of television cameras if that makes her more comfortable appearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Monday.

“She has the option of a closed session, with cameras or without. We want her to appear,” said Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.), a member of the Judiciary panel. “We want her to appear and she has said before we made the decision that she wanted to appear.” LINK

I think Flake falls in line on this one and ultimately votes to confirm. Just a hunch.

I’m hoping this is a ropeadope.

Offer her generous terms and when she says no, say “OK, moving on” and have the vote.

No way this should happen, Kavanaugh has a right to know what he is being accused of before testifying.

Uh no. She's putting her self out there making an accusation and going to testify in what is otherwise a public hearing, she does not get to have it her way. She put herself out there, making accusations without any corroborating witnesses or evidence, then she gets to have her face shown and voice heard for all to see and hear

Works to our favor without cameras, actually. Dems have no need to pander without public view and Reps can ask the hard questions without clips of them “beating the victim” playing nonstop on the news.

Why would Kavanaugh have touched this woman. He’s a normal good looking conservative and she’s an ugly dried up typical liberal hag

Until she formally testifies, there is nothing except innuendo. He would rightfully reject answering any questions about innuendo.

No.
No.
No.
and frick no.

She's made questionable yet very public charges against someone who is up for one of the most important positions in the federal government. Either these charges are important enough to her to make and defend in a public forum or she walks away from them.

Flake wants to run for president. Presumably he wants to run as a republican and if he does then he has to vote yes. If he votes no or is seen as the reason that no vote was taken then he is done with republican politics forever.

Yep. He will talk tough, but will eventually be corralled by other GOP members to vote yes. He would be committing fundraising suicide to vote no.

President? Flake couldn’t even win re-election for Senator in Arizona.

He MIGHT be able to get his old House seat back if he hasn’t pissed off his district too badly.

It's a brilliant offer by the Rs after all DiFi supposedly held the allegation over this broad's privacy concerns.

So now the Dems are in the position to demand a televised hearing.

they don't want this. They want the spectacle, and crocodile tears to sway the emotional populace.
