Why not all 55?
Im going to presume that five of them were not six weeks pregnant yet.

Was that a normal day's number?
I would imagine lower. Women likely were trying to get abortions before teh USSC came down, so I imagine there was a higher than normal number on the books

Can you imagine the people today panicking when they realize they are about to be parents and should have been more responsible?
I am sure some will just go to another state but still will be several that can't or won't

The word framing in that tweet thread is disgusting.
“Treated”
“Healthcare”
And someone comparing this to handmaid’s tale

who just told @maddow that 50 of 55 patients in Ft. Worth today could not be treated.

it is violating women’s autonomy and denying them healthcare *right* *now*.

I think the much higher # is going to be people who have no idea what's going on who try to get an abortion in a week or month or whatever and are like WHAAAAAAAAAAT?

A liberal go-to when discussing abortion is immediately proclaiming it to be handmaids tale
Never fails .

The biggest go to is the illogical "my body" argument.
I'm a big fence sitter with abortion, where I can see the scientific and moral arguments on both sides. There is a point where it's a life and we don't know exactly when that point it. Before that point, intervention is fine to me. After that point, it's murder. I just don't know where that line is.
However, the auto-response (for decades, mind you) involves this logical fallacy that a fetus is the mother's body. This "argument" only makes sense if you agree that the entire justification for the "argument" is to promote abortion. It was specifically created solely to argue for abortion and has no logical, rational, or often, scientific, reasoning behind it. It's just a mantra that has been adopted blindly for selfish reasons.
If you remove the "my body" argument from the discussion, a lot of the hyperbole goes away. That's why they cling to the argument.

They were probably just all trying to take advantage of the coupon.

My biggest takeaway is that one clinic had 55 murders scheduled for one day. Geesh Moloch! That’s overkill! No pun intended.

They are about to flood into Shreveport.

At conception. Diff dna, diff life. Denying the science behind that is just that, denying science.
I feel like texas made a compromise here and went with heart beat.

Way too early and just as irrational as the "my body" argument. This is just the other side of the irrationality coin.
