Too long to post most of it. She used to be left-leaning, but not anymore. She was raised outside the U.S.

----------------------

In recent years, the left has also strongly condemned men in general, and straight white men in particular, for practicing toxic masculinity. Toxic masculinity, in their opinion, is the root cause of some of our most dangerous societal ills, such as domestic abuse, gun violence, and rape culture. The cure? Men should be encouraged to feel, cry, and express their emotions and display traits that are not typically considered masculine.

But when Kavanaugh cried at the post-allegation hearings while recounting the effects of weeks of being beaten down and insulted by Democratic senators and much of the media, the blowback from the left was astonishing. He was mocked. They questioned his authenticity.

These events opened my eyes to the hypocrisy of the Democratic Party. It’s actually a very exclusive club that wants me as a member based solely on stereotypes of who I am supposed to be. The core values they tout do not apply to everyone, as Kavanaugh can testify, but only to a very small, very specific subset of people who tick certain boxes or support them in their political agenda.

They have relished inflicting pain on Kavanaugh in large part because he is everything they hate: a straight white conservative male from a privileged background. It’s terrifying because, while that might not put me in any danger, it makes many of the best men I know and love prime targets.

People are waking up to the Dem party. When the politicians of that party start adopting and espousing the mantra of the wingnuts of that party, the party will either crumble or eventually take over the country. At present, that party exhibits no middle ground.

The Democratic Party is in major trouble right now. It’s almost like the party is split right down the middle between your every day middle Of the road democrats and now your far left socialism/progressive democrats. That far left wing alienates a lot of members of their party and also motivates conservatives. Yesterday’s videos of protesters should be made into a campaign video for every republican candidate.

Good read OP. The Left will dismiss her because she is nuanced (pro-life but supports social justice issues).

When you have a party who’s top leaders use rhetoric similar to Nazi Germany by substituting “white men” for “Jews”, it makes many normal people feel uneasy.

This is the epitome of the modern dem party. I don't understand why any dem that isn't an identity politics progressive would not join the Trump repubs.

… I have seen countless Republicans defending and showing empathy for Ford on the news, giving her the benefit of the doubt on social media. By contrast, I have seen nothing of the sort for Kavanaugh from Democrats.

Dems hate anybody who doesn't need the Dem party, i.e. acheivers.

All the liberals I know have said they’re voting for Trump next time. I haven’t met one that even argues in favor of the democratic party over what Trump has done since taking office.
