I learned about destructive capacity of glaciers in another. I learned it's easier to deal with the weather being a little too warm than too cold.

It's true that the climate in temperate and tropical regions has warmed only slightly, by a ° or two, in the past 100 years. But, the same CAN'T be said for polar regions. Alaska, N. Canada, Greenland, Scandinavia and Siberia have reported temps since 2000 7°-12°F ABOVE historical averages. Anchorage just endured a year whereby the temp never went below zero! (pretty remarkable for a locality where the historical AVERAGE January temperature is 12° F!).
The world is running a temperature, and it's high time our president gets with the program.
