It's 9°F here in north Alabammer. When are we all going to die from this heat wave?

Global warming has much more to do with moisture collection in the atmosphere than it does the surface temperature.

The position of the polar vortex and jet stream has much more to do with the temperatures you feel on any given day than the cumulative effect of climate change.

Then why is surface temperature the absolute benchmark for warmers?

It's -11 in the KC area. It's so cold outside it's destroyed the orange crop. After decades of global warming most people did not know or realize that a large percentage of citrus was being produced in areas (midwest)that were previously more suited to row crops but this record cold will probably convince midwest farmers to stick with soybeans, corn, milo, etc.
This is what happens when farmers make business decisions based on Al Gores climate predictions.

It's -3 at my house today, and has been below freezing for over two weeks.

That's much colder than normal for this time of year.

Lol not one person started these threads during the massive heat waves over the summer. Wish y’all were as smart as those people.

Clearly you know nothing about science.

Science is not about questions. It's about accepting what is given to you as fact.

What do we do Dawg? We're doomed! Even if we all lowered our carbon footprint 75% and declared Al Gore the Climate Czar it's too late. We should probably try to warm the earth as much as possible before the next ice age starts cooling the earth again, it's easier to deal with the weather being a little too warm than too cold........, right?

Why don’t you actually have a debate? None of you go near this past the surface.

What is there to debate? Hot in the summer and cold in the winter are supposed to be signs of climate change? I guess the sun setting in the evening is bad too.

Do you have any idea what the theory is? I can’t imagine being that disconnected.

Well you got to have a wave before you can bitch about it , yes? It never hit a hundred this past summer at my house. Only once the summer before, so there's that.
