Read it again. I’m thinking he got it right.

We did loose the trade war. Loosed it on the Chinos like fire and damnation. MAGA

What are you referring to?

Climate change and desertification.

Google it.

Read about the dust bowl too.

The planet might be getting warmer, but nobody, Chinese or otherwise, is causing it.

The "manmade" part is the hoax.

Climate scientist build their models as temperature as a function of atmospheric concentration of C02 to "prove" global warming/climate change. It's a rare occasion when they take into account solar activity. CO2 is the prime culprit of climate change because climate "scientists" know they will continue to receive research funding from groups where their primary objective is to utilize "climate change" as a means to implement a carbon credit tax scheme and implement big government socialist policies. In fact the sun is on an 11 year cycle of radiation intensity as measured my sun spot activity. I believe and it can be shown that there is more of a direct correlation between energy input and heat absorption. A black body absorbs more heat when you apply more energy to that black body. So, when the sun is more active the earth will absorb more energy. It's a pretty simple and a direct correlation. Furthermore as the earth is heated by the sun it allows oceans to release more CO2 than man could ever achieve.

We had a nice cold winter last year. I expect the next couple of winters to be just as cold as we dip down in the solar cycle.

Here is more from NASA (surprisingly) on the correlation between sun activity and global temperatures.

quote:

Early records of sunspots indicate that the Sun went through a period of inactivity in the late 17th century. Very few sunspots were seen on the Sun from about 1645 to 1715 (38 kb JPEG image). Although the observations were not as extensive as in later years, the Sun was in fact well observed during this time and this lack of sunspots is well documented. This period of solar inactivity also corresponds to a climatic period called the "Little Ice Age" when rivers that are normally ice-free froze and snow fields remained year-round at lower altitudes. There is evidence that the Sun has had similar periods of inactivity in the more distant past.

LINK

The temperature of the earth can be 100% attributed to sun activity. How that temperature is moderated on our temperate planet earth can be attributed to our atmosphere. Atmospheric water vapor is responsible for approximately 95% of that moderation.

Still...what is your point supposed to be? Are you claiming that Fresno has suffered sudden desertification in the last 50 years or so??? The dust bowl was caused by global warming??? Huh?

This is what consensus science brings you – groupthink with no quality control.

HadCRUT4 is the primary global temperature dataset used by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) to make its dramatic claims about “man-made global warming”. It’s also the dataset at the center of “ClimateGate” from 2009, managed by the Climate Research Unit (CRU) at East Anglia University.

The audit finds more than 70 areas of concern about data quality and accuracy.

But according to an analysis by Australian researcher John McLean it’s far too sloppy to be taken seriously even by climate scientists, let alone a body as influential as the IPCC or by the governments of the world.

Main points:

The Hadley data is one of the most cited, most important databases for climate modeling, and thus for policies involving billions of dollars.
McLean found freakishly improbable data, and systematic adjustment errors , large gaps where there is no data, location errors, Fahrenheit temperatures reported as Celsius, and spelling errors.
Almost no quality control checks have been done: outliers that are obvious mistakes have not been corrected – one town in Columbia spent three months in 1978 at an average daily temperature of over 80 degrees C. One town in Romania stepped out from summer in 1953 straight into a month of Spring at minus 46°C. These are supposedly “average” temperatures for a full month at a time. St Kitts, a Caribbean island, was recorded at 0°C for a whole month, and twice!
Temperatures for the entire Southern Hemisphere in 1850 and for the next three years are calculated from just one site in Indonesia and some random ships.
Sea surface temperatures represent 70% of the Earth’s surface, but some measurements come from ships which are logged at locations 100km inland. Others are in harbors which are hardly representative of the open ocean.
When a thermometer is relocated to a new site, the adjustment assumes that the old site was always built up and “heated” by concrete and buildings. In reality, the artificial warming probably crept in slowly. By correcting for buildings that likely didn’t exist in 1880, old records are artificially cooled. Adjustments for a few site changes can create a whole century of artificial warming trends.

Details of the worst outliers

For April, June and July of 1978 Apto Uto (Colombia, ID:800890) had an average monthly temperature of 81.5°C, 83.4°C and 83.4°C respectively.
The monthly mean temperature in September 1953 at Paltinis, Romania is reported as -46.4 °C (in other years the September average was about 11.5°C).
At Golden Rock Airport, on the island of St Kitts in the Caribbean, mean monthly temperatures for December in 1981 and 1984 are reported as 0.0°C. But from 1971 to 1990 the average in all the other years was 26.0°C.

Yes. Fresno has suffered very bad because of drought and desertification.

Dust bowl was because of greed.

It all comes down to greed.

Do some research and start at the beginning of this thread to read my comments.

Most who downvote or question haven't looked into it enough.

Climate change is real and of course it's because of the people on this planet.

Because of their agriculture taking a massive hit along with water issues and drought.

What does this mean? You're not talking about ancient alien hollow earth theories, are you?

The Chinese also buy a lot of Hollywood influence, as do muslims, which is why people like Ben Affleck scream and wail about anti-muslim "racism." When you're in the theater and you see the logos of certain production companies, you're watching Chinese propaganda.

Such nonsense. So basically..."Greed changed the weather". How does one become so disregarding of science? Amazing. Just my opinion, others may feel differently.

Its not like China recently started stealing trade secrets and trying to influence politics in this country.

Why wouldn't they push Climate Change as a way to handicap USA Business.

Idk why you ppl are getting upset. God forbid someone says their opinion and others immediately disregard it without looking into it.

I've have given many things you can Google to expand your knowledge. I'm not saying you have to believe in it after. Just having a discussion.

Right out of school I spent 6 years measuring the water quality of Louisiana marshes for a local county/parish environmental department before I became an engineer. I fully understand the bias that can creep into data acquisition and the struggles to measure objectively, consistently and the limitations of measuring equipment. I know statistics are suppose to smooth those data acquisition errors out however if you have a field of 90% believers in "climate change" acquiring data, the data is going to have an intrinsic bias that can't be smoothed out by statistics.

Not really. It's pretty relevant. It's just one thing to look into. There are worse places but Fresno is recent and the drought in California is always an issue.
