What she doesn’t understand is that government is the reason college is so expensive. Handing out grants left and right incentivizes colleges to raise their rates.

It's disturbing how many people in that twitter thread have no problem with her situation and are fine with having her loans repaid by someone else. They never admit that they are fine with paying it off for her, but it's ok for someone else to do so. Idiots.

I mean of course she's at fault, it just seems that the system plays a part as well. You want to spend a semester in Italy studying history. Yea it's gonna cost 30 grand, but we'll just gove you a loan for it...and can we you really put a price on your education?
