No doubt. Germany having a legitimate military would be huge for NATO. The French can get their act together pretty quickly. The British are good. I wouldn’t want to frick with the Polish if I were anyone. A strong German military is really that missing piece for NATO. I think NATO countries will begin to invest more into their militaries now. Saves us a lot of money and headache.

This whole plan is just a fiction novel written for fear mongering propaganda.

“Leaked” doomsday plans right when more funding is needed. Again.

Clearly, you believe the exaggerated anti-NATO propaganda. I’m pretty sure you haven’t closely studied all the NATO members’ domestic budgets.

Would it be “America First” enough for y’all if we just ceded Scandinavia, Germany, Spain and France to Putin and let England fend for itself?

You are a brainwashed sheep if you think Putin wants to invade those countries.

And when you say cede you are wrong again. Those are advanced, rich countries that should not need the self appointed world policeman to defend them with money we don't have.

Finally, England, they have turned into one of the most backward western countries when it comes to freedom of speech and thought. If the Americans who fought in WWII saw that country today, they would most likely say it was a waste of time.

I'm not sure if the EU has all three of those requirements available to fight a major war without the US assisting.

All Russia would go for would be Poland, Moldova, and a piece of the Baltics. This whole thing is about nothing more than securing the geographic blocking positions of the Polish Gap and Bessarabian Gap. They wouldn't even attempt to take Western Europe. My concern is that Russia rolls into Poland, gets their asses kicked, then throws a nuke. Sadly, many on this board would side with Putin.

quote:

According to information released on July 7 by NATO, 10 of 31 alliance members are achieving the current goal of spending two percent of their GDP on defense.

We’ve finally got a third of NATO members contributing the amount they committed to in joining the alliance. Improvement, but still a long way to go to eliminate the free rider problem.

Also this:

quote:

Early in the 2010s, NATO also started counting how much members were spending on hardware, as equipment inventories were growing old and many members were spending the bulk of their defense money on pay and amenities rather than combat capability. While in 2014, only seven members were hitting the goal of spending 20 percent of their defense budgets on equipment, in 2023, every member is achieving it, and the median is 27.3 percent for the alliance overall.

While I’m not one to drum up more business for Lockheed, Raytheon, etc, it was complete BS that many NATO nations were spending their money solely on pay and amenities, without actually doing anything to upgrade their Cold War era weaponry in the event of actual conflict. Russia crashing Ukraine’s party woke a lot of those countries up.

This hypothetical would be funny considering Europe has systematically dismantled masculinity over the past 75 years.

Putin doesn't want those countries! Certainly not England and France. England is a progressive haven with a Muslim population on the brink of revolt and France has Muslim's burning down cities. Why would he want that headache?

Absolute bullshite. Russia can’t even take Ukraine. Opening a second front against the worlds largest military alliance would be devastating for Russia. They don’t have the troops or equipment to do it. They are buying shite from NK.

This is laughable.
