Imagine the "news" they spit out daily for sensationalism.

Covid was a fearmonger-ers pinnacle year.

Imagine the lengths they will go to to get what they want. They will justify any means.

I used to say the one line they won't cross is cartoonishly blatant slander or defamation or libel, but I've abandoned that belief. Now I believe the only thing they won't do is to literally murder someone to create a story. Which would it be THAT surprising if there were a case of that?

Anyhoo, there is otherwise NOTHING that they're not willing to do or say. Nothing.

I good with striking murder off the single-item list of don'ts for tbe media, in that regard.

Revised, cleaned up conclusion: There's literally nothing they aren't willing to do or say.

Wasn’t there one where a reporter was in a boat and there were a couple guys walking behind her in the street with the water just a bit below their knees?

Below their knees?
That water is barely above their ankles

The thing in Portland/Colorado can't remember which comes pretty close. Where they followed the one guy all day and then the reporters security provokes the guy into a shooting. So yeah they would probably go as far as murder.

The weather reporter exaggerating the hurricane nearly blowing him over while two dudes stroll down the street behind him.

That stupid crap always cracked me up and you'd think if they were going to exaggerate things to that degree, they'd at least edit the people in the background out before they air it on TV.

Some reporters have absolutely no shame when it comes to manufacturing the news.

Remember, these gifs we are enjoying are only of the times they were actually caught.

The "news" also showed images of a hospital in Italy and said it was NY. They showed an "overrun" ER but it was really employees pretending to be patients. They also claimed a firing range in Kentucky was an attack in the ME.
