Apparently they were just line agents and really had no power or influence.

After Trump spent so much time in the campaign promising to drain the swamp are you actually surprised the swamp is going no holds barred in keeping itself from being drained? This is what the Trumpkins are all about, winning elections and poll numbers. Thankfully they have resigned to the fact that he will do nothing about it and they'll continue to "tick tock" and post "its happening" gifs and they will continue to be disappointed. Good stuff.
